All staff except one (the helpful gentleman with the beard) didn't care at all about the guests, and were not helpful at all regarding info on their town (trains, ferries, restaurants etc). La Vue d'Or is a gem, in my opinion. We stayed there for two nights in May, 2009 and really enjoyed it. The views from our room were spectacular and the shuttle bus into Sorrento was convenient and easy and certainly saved us driving down the hill and trying to find parking.
