We stayed at this hotel in September 2011. Our room had a fantastic view of Sorrento and Vesuvius, the shuttle bus took us down to Sorrento, it is an excellent service. The food was good and our room was very comfortable, nice bathroom. I would stay there again and recommend it to my friends. More

Really nice hotel, perched up on the hill above Sorrento. About 25 min walk to the town up/down a dangerous road. But there is a free shuttle bus. The Grand Hotel Vesuvio was, for us, outstanding in every respect: the location, the views, the cleanliness, the pool, and especially the food. This is a magnificant structure filled with ceramic tiles and marble, with outstanding views of the bay. Their shuttle service is on time and fairly frequent. Also, there is a SITA bus stop that goes to the train/bus station early, so you can use it to catch the SITA bus along the Amalfi coast for an excellent 11 euro all... More
