We stayed at the Miramare for one week, and found the hotel clean and the staff helpful, polite and friendly, we didn't try the breakfast option so I can't comment on that, the cooking facilities in the room are really too small to be of any use, and I don't really think that it should be classed as self catering... more

Arrived at midnight after a delayed flight - with no food! and with a very sleepy 2 year old. The room we were initially given (rm101) I thought was small and seemed to be practically on the main road. We asked to move and were shown a lovely appartment (rm103) with high ceilings and huge windows which overlooked the bay... more

Our room was small, but comfortable and had everything necessary for a great holiday. Creamy marble bathroom was lovely and our balcony got the sun all afternoon into evening. Pool was refreshing and the view from there was beautiful. Loved the walk into town, it should take 10 minutes but stopping all the way down the hill to admire the... more

We where in Sorrento to attend my sisters wedding. The Miramare was the accommodation for us and 11 other members of our family which included our 74 year old grandparents. The Miramare was perfect for us, our room had a great balcony and a breathtaking view of vesuvius. Our room was massive and very clean. The only bad thing was... more

From The Seniors! 73 and 75 (with Pacemaker.).. We liked Miramare but self catering to us means eating out! Breakfast was booked for 4 days, usual Med quality, OK by us. The Hill was a trial as was the sprint across the road... but no problem really. In October it doesn't suffer less from traffic and the weather was mixed... more

with some intrepedation I read the previous reviews on this hotel 5 days before our departure...yes the kitchenette was in the wardrobe and the children's beds where camp beds (comfortable though - considering we have a 14 year old who never complained), but the rooms are clean, air conditioned, roomy and with a great bathroom. This hotel is a great... more

My family (two adults and two children 6 and 14) booked Miramare as we enjoy eating out and exploring local sights and tastes. There is a distinct lack of self catering in Sorrento so choice was limited and most hotels seem to be half board. Firstly, the residence is quite a distance from the town centre, up a hill and... more

We booked this hotel last October (05) when there were only 1 or 2 reviews but they were positive and we'd struggled to find reasonably priced self-catering accomodation for 2 adults in Sorrento. Based on the subsequent reviews we were slightly anxious but needn't have been cause the hotel was more than adequate. We stayed in room 110 which had... more

The Miramare gets mixed reviews with good reason. Ok, the bad stuff first... The road on which it sits is fast (40mph +) and incredibly busy. There is no pavement either side and the hotel entrance is on a blind bend. Traffic horns (every 2 mins) continued even to 3am+ (take earplugs) and our stunning video of the breathtaking view... more

We just returned from two weeks at the Residence Miramare in Sorrento. The hotel is situated on the Capo Di Sorrento. The views from this hotel were breathtaking, with fantastic views of Mt Vesuvius!! The swimming pool was small but very clean, lovely to cool off in and never over-crowded! The only problem was that the road in which the... more
