I can't say this place was amazing. The area it is in is a ways from town. It's a 20 minute walk, which we enjoyed. It's in a pretty part of Sorrento, down by the bay. The hotel was ok. Wasn't thrilled when I thought I had a room with a balcony overlooking the sea, got one on the bottom... more

LOCATION OF HOTEL:- Excellent. Stunning views across the bay to Sorrento, Naples and Vesuvius. Frequent bus service to Sorrento (Centre, Bus and Railway Station). Or if you wish a 15 min walk into the town. HOTEL :- A small hotel, clean and tidy at all times. Food is Very good and appetising. Rooms are plainly furnished with no frills STAFF... more

As the title says - that is all... Rooms - We stayed at the Admiral for 10 nights and had a large room with a great view, but as someone else stated, the rooms are noisy, no carpets to drown out general noise - not even in the corridors so everything echos, oh and the bedroom doors, boy do they... more

We particulaly enjoyed the situation of the Admiral, it was an easy walk into town. The real disappointment about the hotel was the staff which we found surly and indifferent especially the barman Santos, he was positively rude. The food at breakfast was poor to average. The evening menu was varied although the buffet lacked organisation which resulted in the... more

Have just spent a week at the Hotel Admiral, and I agree it's location is wonderful. It's clean, comfortable, has good food and is all you would expect from a 3* hotel. My only complaint would be that, the staff are quite surly. The receptionists are bored by your requests, the barman, positively rude. The exceptions to this were the Maitre... more

My wife, daughter and myself are just back from a weekend break to the Hotel Admiral. As we arrived late on Saturday night, we'd pre booked a private transfer. We were somewhat taken aback when it took 1 3/4 hours to get to the hotel (their is no such thing as a quick transfer ,due to roads being very busy).... more

Having stayed her last year and had such a wonderful holiday, I just had to return. The room was just what I had asked for and the trip to Amalfi was incredible. The tour guide was lovely and gave us a lovely day out. We booked a trip to Ischia but the transfer bus didnt arrive so it meant we... more

Have just returned from a weeks stay at the Admiral, and have to say was very impressed. The Location of the hotel is fantastic, probably one of the best in Sorrento. We booked a sea view room, and I have to say it was well worth paying the extra as the views were amazing. The staff were all very friendly,... more

We have stayed in Sorrento previously and enjoyed it immensely. This time we were drawn by the position of the Hotel Admiral right on the sea in the harbour. We were not disappointed! The harbour is very slightly commercialised, Italians abound, there are wonderful places to eat lunch - a tip - avoid the place on the right as you... more

We stayed at the Admiral mid August 2007 with our 12 year old daughter. Having been to Sorrento many times before and staying 'up top' we were a little apprehensive about staying down in the Marina Grande - we need not have worried!!! The hotel was very good value, our room 411 was amazing - huge balcony to the front... more
