The hotel is tucked into a gated side street, a stone's throw away from the central plaza. We asked for a quiet room and got a room on the ground floor, with a little attached balcony. Rooms were clean, well-maintained and very comfortable. The proprieter was super-hospitable and was very accomodating on a bunch of little things (we were a... more

This hotel was in the perfect spot near downtown Sorrento. Unfortunately, when we got there around 2pm, our room was already occupied by someone else, despite having a confirmation from Venere.com and another directly from the hotel. The attending person called for Giovanna from the Blue Rooms who walked us the 1/4 mile or so to the west side of... more

It was late winter when we arrived, so Sorrento was not as packed as in the summertime, but the citrus was in season, and the town was full of fresh oranges and lemons. Our host was very accommodating, offering us as many homegrown oranges as we could eat, and making us a fantastic continental breakfast of cappuccino, pastries, and freshly... more

My husband and I stayed at La Magnolia for four nights in May. The hotel is very easy to get to from the Circumvesuviana train station and from the bus terminal. The location is perfect for exploring Sorrento and the surrounding areas, and is also very close to some great restaurants! Carlo, the owner, was very helpful in suggesting places... more

Having seen all the great reviews, we were really excited about staying here and booked four months in advance. We confirmed the week before we arrived but unfortunately when we turned up, our room was occupied by someone else and we were moved to another B&B which was a lot further away and facing a building site. We had to... more

We have just returned from a brilliant trip to Sorrento and stayed at La Magnolia B&B just off the main square, Piazza Tasso, in Via Caruso. La Magnolia is a very pretty B&B, amazingly quiet hidden behind a green wrought iron gate (you are given your own key) which is sheltered on one side by a high stone wall plus... more

set just off the main square behind a private green gate this hotel provided everything we needed. The manager, Carlos was fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived at 11pm and he carried our bags to our room and recommended a late bar for good food and drinks - saved us wandering around town in to the unknown.... more

Around 500m from the train station. Once you get to the main street, turn left and follow til you get to Tasso square then turn left again where the taxi's are and walk about 50m and you come to green metal doors next to the fruit shop and you have to buzz the buzzer so they can let you in.... more

The hotel is located right near the centre, but is tucked away in the corner so that it doesn't attract all of the noise. The rooms were clean and tidy. There is a need for bigger windows as there is hardly any sunlight in the rooms. No internet access at the hotel. The garden needs work as it has not... more

I stayed 3 nights at La magnolia with my 16 year old daughter. Carlo was absolutely terrific in helping us with forward travel information. We felt very comfortable, secure and welcome at this small hotel. The location is excellent - as it is a very short walk to the train station, centre of town, quiet and clean. We had a... more
