Like other reviewers, my main complaint about Villagio Verde is the noise - dogs, mopeds, cockrels you name it. It seemed incessant at all hours of the day and night. I came home absolutely wrecked and needing another holiday! The walk up to the hotel is also very steep and a bit scary at night - poorly lit, no foothpats... more

Like other reviewers, we found some aspects of staying here really excellent, but there were some major downsides too. The family who run the place are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the layout is like a tropical jungle, with lemons, grapes and bananas growing overhead. this keeps the temperatures bearable without the use of the (supplied) air conditioning. We stayed at Villagio Verde for 5 nights. It was a good location for touring the whole region, and just a short walk to Sorrento town. Facilities at the hotel were very good, lots of information on the area available at reception, swimming pool is well maintained, restaurant; etc. The apartments are good, basic enough & nothing special, but ok.... more

Villagio Verde is a good small hotel, and I can fully understand why so many reviewers are very positive about it. We stayed in the hotel rooms rather than the lodges, and it was very quiet at night, unlike many areas of Sorrento which have buses and cars hooting horns at all hours. These apartments are home to possible home to the most friendly and welcoming staff and owners you will ever find. They made us feel so welcome.
