We are glad to give you the warmest welcome as our guests into Palazzo Sisto Riario Sforza. Here, in the heart of Naples old town within inches of Santa Chiara Church with its Cloister, the Veiled Christ and Via San Gregorio Armeno was born, in 2008, our Hotel. The Decumani Hotel de Charme was originally built during the 17th century and belonged to Sisto Riario Sforza, the last Archbishop of Naples in the Bourbon Kingdom of the Two Sicilies of which Naples was the capital. In 2008 we embarked on a major refurbishment programme for the second floor, where the Hotel is placed. The hotel has now been fully restored and equipping with all the modern conveniences our guests expect. A wide lounge, decorated with golden stuccoes and mirrors, testifies the illustrious past of this residence. All of our 22 bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and feature the following: soundproof windows, flat screen Television with international channels, safe, minibar, direct dial telephone and hairdryer. The Decumani Hotel de Charme is located in the Decumani, in the heart of the old town originally a Greek "polis" and then a Roman "urbs", an area wich represents with its squares, streets and alleys, a unique historical, cultural and artistic heritage, as it is testified by the acknowledgment of Unesco, which in 1995 declared the historic centre of Naples " the biggest open-air museum in the world".

The strongest point of this hotel is definitely its location: in the heart of the old historic centre of Naples. The famous 'Spaccanapoli' is literally very close to the hotel. The major attractions of Naples can be reached on foot (even the Quartieri spagnoli area and Piazza del Plebiscito). The staff at reception are very friendly and helpful. The hotel occupies two floors in an old historical building in Naples, this is definitely the another strong point. The room was very spacious with antique furniture. You sleep really well as it is very quiet. The guest are a mix of foreigners and Italians. Breakfast is in a magnificent room with local products (Pastiera, Torta Caprese, etc). The choice, as with all hotels in Italy, is not comparable to a 4 star hotel in my homeland (Switzerland) or in other northern European countries. Restaurants and bars bearby make your stay even more enjoyable. Recommended for visiting Naples.

Hotel's Favourite
As we walked into the fairly humble lobby of this hotel I thought to myself, this didn’t seem like what I saw in the pictures. But we were greeted with kindness and we got our keys and I went up to my room and I was so pleased by the charm and peacefulness that I felt in this lovely room with high ceilings and a beautifully appointed bathroom. As I explored more of the hotel, I was surprised as I turned each corner to find lovely sitting rooms and then the best room of all, the breakfast room. This hotel was such a perfect, calming and peaceful refuge from the noise and excitement of Naples. The breakfast each morning was such a treat, our service was excellent and the food just beautiful. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to experience this lovely place and enjoy the services of the knowledgeable and incredibly helpful staff.

The staff gave us a very pleasant service, in special Luigi and Federica at reception. The breakfast was great and attended very well by Mariano, Carlo and Giovanna (the capuccino was incredible (even with its foam heart). The hotel is recentlly renewed and the room was very pretty wide. Thank you.

The hotel staff are very solicitous and welcoming. The building is beautiful and generally quiet. The location is central and from there easy to reach all the sights by food or other transport. A great pizza restaurant is on the same block and all the cafes you could want steps after that. I'd stay again. Plus, the hotel arranged for a wonderful driver to Pompeii, Adamo, who couldn't have been more accommodating and pleasant.

Irene at the Front Desk is the kindest, most helpful and really the best person I have met during my two week holiday here in Italy. In fact, she really is what we all hope for when we travel overseas. The Hotel du Charme is a lovely hotel and the staff at this hotel make traveling a pleasure.

We received outstanding assistance from Frederica, Luigi and Carlo in the reception. Recommendation for restaurants, bus operators and guides were precise and always very good. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with the feel of old Italy in the best possible sense. The Grand Salon is unbelievably beautiful and is used for both breakfast, with great service provided by Mariano and Giovanna, and bar in the evening. Location is second to none!

Where shall I start! As I was embarking on This journey of course I did my research and as previously stated the hotel staff were exquisite. Welcoming is an understatement! From Federica at the front desk for waking me to make sure I made it to breakfast to Carlo serving my fresh cappuccinos. Grazie! Don’t look further. It’s walking distance from main attractions and public transport. I personally enjoy the graffiti! I will be back! Thank you again!

Wonderful stay in the heart of the historical part of Naples. The hotel was the palace of cardinal Sforza and you will have your breakfast in the amazing XVIII th century lounge decorated with frescos, mirrors and stucco! The staff was very professional and friendly. The right place to discover the incredible city of Naples!!!
