For 2 younger gals traveling Italy, we couldn't have fallen upon a better hotel. Extremely clean and well situated. Newly renovated, and not on the cheap side!! We loved it here, and we loved Naples! As the taxi dropped us off in front, my husband says "where the h*ll did you bring us?" but when we got inside, all his fears were calmed. Max is a great host. A great little hotel. It is about 300yards behind the Archaeological museum. You arrive outside a scruffy, crumbling, 18th century grand apartment block in a narrow lane. My advice is to stay away from Naples. Someone tried to rob us as we walked today. This hotel is interesting inside however there is no elevator to get up all the stairs to the hotel. Because of crime in he area he hotel manager must keep the front door locked and you have to buzz him to get in.... more
