Hotel is situated in a very dodgy part of Naples - didn't feel safe in the evening and didn't feel safe at 10am. Yes, it is close to train station or buses if you want to go sightseeing but the stress is not worth it. As for the interior, for this price you couldn't expect more. Apart from the view... more
The rating was 4 stars, but I would have to disagree with that. We had to book this hotel after missing our cruise ship due to plane maintenance issues. The hotel is in the ghetto! I did not feel safe walking outside at night. Just a hundred feet up the road there was a 40ft x 30ft x head high... more
My partner and I had booked well in advance and pre-paid our room for six nights. When we arrived, we were greeted with the words: "Our servant (sic) will take you across the street to another hotel for tonight. You will be ready to come back at 9 o'clock tomorrow." No explanation, no apology -- nothing. We were then whisked... more
San Giorgio offers great value, particularly to the single traveller. It's perhaps not in the most galmorous area of the city - but I never felt unsafe in any way. (I am a well built 30 year old male - perhaps that helps, but ultimately most reasonably experienced travellers know how to behave so as not to attract problems etc.)... more
Recently renovated and in the middle of all the vibrant emotion of Naples. This ancient city's massive bus and train terminal is quietly nearby conveniently linking you to everything from Amalfi to Capri, Pompeii to Pozzulli! Transportation is the key to enjoying this area and San Giorgio is an inexpensive and safe choice surrounded by wonderful "cheap eats" more
This hotel is located just off of the Piazza Garibaldi. Firstly if you haven't been there before you will not know where to find it.
