I booked 4 nights at the Katty hotel. The place was recommended by a few travel guides. I must say I was suspicious, 70 Euros a night to be in the center of Rome sounded to good to be true. But when I got there I was pleasantly surprised. First, the location. The hotel is located in a quiet sector of Rome on Palestro avenue. There is a metro station 2 blocks away and it takes just 5 mins to walk to Termini station. You are also within walking distance of the Coliseum and the Forum. Just at the corner of Palestro you will find a convenient store (Pam express), a pharmacy, two pizza counters, and a cute Italian restaurant (Al 39). The hotel itself is very charming. It is located on the 4th and 5th floor of a 40's style building. The rest of the buidling is mostly businesses and private residences.
