I stayed on my own for 2 nights. My room was big and the bathroom more than adequate and a big plus was that it had airconditioning. The staff were very helpful and spoke very good english. The breakfasts were ample The location is good, but not the best. It is 1 stop on the overland from Flaminio tube station.... more

Classic Italian Job here. Rooms are old and in dire need of refurbishment, but that won't stop you paying over the top for it. Mattrases were so worn that you actually slept in a little concave dip in the middle of them. Shower curtain mung of dampness and was covered in fungus at the bottom. Small fridge was at room... more

Terrible. They have absolutely no shame to display 4 stars at what obviously is a 1 star establishment. The staff are rude, the beds are old, the carpets are moldy and the walls could use a new coat of paint. Plus the air-conditioning was not working. When we called up to complain they brush us off by saying it takes... more

If you stay expecting a 2 star dive then you won't be dissapointed. I stayed two nights with my family for the Champions League final because it was pretty much the last hotel in Rome. It has reasonable transport connections being close to the train to Flamini and the bus to Termini is just a few hundred metres away. The... more

Its a 4 star hotel from appearance but I had to give this hotel a bad name the reason is because they give me a room where the bed is broken. So everytime I sat on the bed and make a heavy breathing while lying on the bed, it squeak the hell out from it. For 3 nights I have... more

My wife and I booked a four star hotel to celebrate her birthday, we will certainly remember it for all the wrong reasons. We arrived at the regent and were promptly sent down the corridor to book in at the adjoining Grand Ritz, the desk staff gave us a room and told us to go to the restaurant for breakfast.... more

This hotel is not inconveniently placed to view Rome being very close to a railway station that has you in Rome within 5 minutes. Having said this, in my opinion, that is all it has to offer. It is listed as a 4 star hotel, never! Our first room had the black out curtains hanging off the rail, the windows... more

We stayed in what were lead to believe was a 4* hotel but given the price we expected 3*. The walls are paper thin there were tour loads of Spanish school children staying there too. You could hear them running up and down the corridors all night and shouting from their rooms at each other. The children where not kept... more

Was part of a group of 50 people who all believed they'd booked a 4* star hotel with a UK tour operator. Announced by guide over tanoy on collection from airport that hotel was 'not what we might be expecting', and it certainly was not. Discovered that half of the hotel (same building different entrance) is called the Ritz and... more

I stayed at the Regent last July and found the hotel to be great. Clean, spacious rooms. No tea/coffee facilities in room, but that didnt bother me. There are two lifts up to the hotel rooms so you dont have to take the stairs. Breakfast was lovely, pleanty to choose from and tasty. Hotel staff we found to be very... more
