This hotel was an average 2-Star Hotel. The room was clean and reasonable. No tea/coffee making available in the room. The lifts were very small. All the tv channels were in Italian- none in English. Had trouble with the room cards not working and a few others on our group had the same problem. In the winter- the warm air-conditioning... more

My partner and I stayed at the Regent for three nights. Our stay was riddled with problems on the first night. The shower head was covered in limescale and the shower doors were broken, one of with swayed from side to side. The ceiling was rotten and the general decour of the room was somewhat lacking. We requested to change... more

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights from 2nd to 4th Nov 2007. The room was very large with kingsize bed plus single bed, tv and minibar, nice sized clean bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer, bed linen and towels cleaned each day. The breakfast was a very nice continental style, plenty of food choice and waiters kept replenishing the food... more

Don't ever stay at this hotel and if you are going as a member of a tour group check first if this is the hotel your tour company has chosen and if this is so stay at home, We have just returned after spending 4 nights in this so called 4 star hotel as part of a tour group from... more

The hotel was part of a triple centre Rome Florence Sorrento deal. Location 1km from city centre is ok, but in August everything was closed - we couldn't even eat nearby - we had to go into town. Our room was fine, though we heard of others that were not. In general (not just here), Italian service is awful. Receptionists... more

I stayed in this hotel as part of a tour group, and having read reviews I was already anxious about staying here - with good reason! This is one hell hole of a hotel. Our flight was delayed, and there was no catering, peanuts, snacks nothing - at 11pm!! The lobby looks impressive, but there are TINY lifts, barely enough... more

The worst part of the hotel is the staff. I honestly never thought hotel staff could ruin an experience until I stayed here. They atrociously rude and inhospitable. When we were leaving, we had them call a cab for us because we were VERY late for our train home (the train station is way across town and we had 25... more

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Regent and can't believe the reviews we have just read. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and told us about the metro station down the road which was a God send. Our room was excellent as was the breakfast. Where are these people coming from with their... more

Advertised as a 4 star more like a 0.4 star, terrible smell through floors, TINY rooms, rude staff at reception and bar, the window did not close in our room and the air conditioning sounded like a train coming through the room. Cleaning staff were pleasent though. The only good thing about it is that it is only one train... more

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and we were very pleased. We had no problems. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews about the shower, staff, etc. We found the rooms clean and cozy. The big window in the room was wonderful to look out... more
