After reading some of the reviews here I was expecting the worst, but the room we had was better than I expected. It was clean and everything worked (plumbing, tv etc). We only stayed for 2 nights and it was a nice place to come back to at the end of the day to sleep. We found some of the... More

The rooms were old and the wall and ceiling looks torn. It is located abit outskirt, so we paid more than usual (usual means the price to the city centre) to the cabby from the airport to the hotel. The receptionist is helpful. The breakfast is good. We had our dinner there too. I would say the food is the... More

We stayed in this hotel in May 2010. Upon arriving we noticed that there was a slight smell in our room so we opened the window to air it out a bit. When we came back after dinner around 10pm the smell was so horrible that we both were almost physically sick to our stomachs. It was so bad that... More

As a first-time visitor to Rome, I was looking forward to staying at a four-star hotel at the start and end of my tour, but I found the Regent to be an overall disappointment. Whilst my room was larger than the average in Europe, the location was frustrating in such a lively city. Nearby Euclide station is only serviced approximately... More

This hotel having 4 stars must be one of the Italian miracles. It is not even a 2-star hotel. Everything is as old as you can imagine and filthy dirty. There is no service at all. Yes the rates are low, but then they sell a small size local beer for 4 Euros (just go to the next door local... More

My pictures can tell the story the best. I arrived a day before my friend. I got a single room (decorated by Florence Henderson). It overlooked pigeon poop and cigarette butts. The hairdryer cord was ripped in half. My door didn't shut properly and the safe didn't work. The next night I got a double once my friend arrived. The... More

The Regent Hotel and the beautiful city of Rome were our last stop on a very long tour of the Mediterranean. Unlike most of the hotel rooms on our lengthy trip, this one was actually rather large and the bathroom was quite clean. That's where the positive ended. When our tour bus pulled up at the curb, the bus sounded... More

For Rome standards the deal was quite good. The Regent is not in the center but with the train it's only 2 stops to the Spanish Steps or 15 min with the 910 bus to Termini station. The hotel has sure seen better days - in the 70/80ies and since then not much has been changed. Bath and AC were... More

There are better places to stay in Rome sums up my feelings about this hotel. The only reason I booked it was because my tour starts from this hotel location - but if I were travelling by myself I would have booked somewhere else. Here are the reasons why this hotel is not all that great: 1. Hotel is old... More

The hotel has some good and bad qualities. Location is fine, service friendly, breakfast was decent (maybe because I stayed away from the greenish-looking curdled eggs. Cappuccino & latte macchiatto with croissants was truly great though). Our room was quiet despite the groups of youths who were checked in at the same time. Can really not complain of any noise....
