Two separate stays for a total of 7 nights. The hotel was pretty good overall, decent room, clean bathroom, not too noisy, and the breakfast was excellent. HOWEVER....Unless you take a shower/bath between 7am and 8:30am or in the afternoon don't expect hot water. I think they turn off the water heater at night and when they do turn it... more

The Hotel Art Deco was such a lovely base for us during our five-day visit to Rome. Clean and tidy, the rooms were of a decent size and the breakfast was a really good start to the day (but I agree with the previous reviews - get down early for the best selection!) It was quite close to the Termini... more

Lovely hotel, breakfast is stunning. Little bit far from metro, but still within walking distance. Would definately recommend this hotel. more

Poor location - nothing nearby. Rooms and corridors had a toilet like smell. Had an under street level room gloomy and damp. Don't stay here. more

My husband and I had an 8-day Navigator of the Seas Royal Caribbean cruise planned out of Citavecchia, Italy so we thought we'd spend a night before in Rome and a night after the cruise in Rome (good idea, btw). We stayed both nights at this hotel. This was our first trip to Italy and we were being economical taking... more

Location was excellent, in a quiet reasonably upmarket street lined with embassies, but walking distance to many sights and only 2 blocks to the metro. Our superior room was spacious by city centre standards, well appointed, clean and comfortable. The bathroom too was a reasonable size with spa bath. Pleasant public areas with mixed levels of service at breakfast depending... more

We chose this hotel for our four-night stay in Rome based on its location, previous reviews of TA and an attractive rate. The location is excellent and very convenient whether you plan to use the tranportation network or you decide to walk : 12 minutes to Line A (Repubblica or Termini stations), less than 5 minutes to Line B (Castro... more

A smart, mid-range hotel in the middle of Rome. Good for access to/from Termini and the trains or buses. Just a five minutes walk from the station. Lots of restaurants in the surrounding streets if you do not want to travel too far. The rooms are quite big for Rome compared to other hotels I've used in the past. The... more

I found the Artdeco to be an adequate hotel, with the usual expectiations that a large chain would have. Private baths, TV, lounge/cafe, clean rooms. Breakfast was included in which makes having a meal before heading out a plus. The front desk personnel lacked personality which discourages travelers when help is needed. Our group was 5 couples and each couple... more

Some friends and myself spent a week in the Art Deco in July 09. This is the type of hotel we usually try to go for - comfy and clean, but not overly posh being as we spend most of the time out. We were impressed with the hotel, as although it was part of a large chain (BestWestern), it... more
