The website and the photos of the Hotel Planet greatly misrepresent the dirty, unsanitary and unwelcoming reality of the establishment. The structure of the hotel is uncoordinated and inefficient making it necessary for one to travel to the 5th floor of the building to check in then back to the 2nd floor to the rooms. With luggage and no help... more

The people who run Hotel Planet and its various sister properties engage in deceptive practices. We paid in advance for three nights and after being shifted from one room already - a shoebox with a filthy bath, broken beds and a lousy view - we were advised that a mistake had been made and the third night was not available... more

Please, do not go to this Hotel. I went to Rome with some friends. We had a look at the Hotel Planet web site and it appeared to be a quite pleasant little hotel. We booked two double rooms in advance (price, EUR 100/night). When we arrived, we noticed that the Hotel is terrible. It is placed in the 5th... more

We stayed at The Hotel Planet in Rome for 4 nights in November. We arrived in the evening and the staff were charming to us. The 2 of us managed to fit into the lift with our suitcases without a problem. Yes it was small but who worries about the lift! Our room was clean, there was lots of hot... more

I strongly suggest you forget this bogus Hotel - known as the Planet ROME and THE Sidney. We stayed in over 20 hotels in 46 days and this was the only one with two (2) folding metal beds pushed together. The air conditioning in the net advertising was turned off from the 15th September my wife and I both suffer... more

Date = April 2005 This hotel was simply a nightmare for our stay in Rome. I was with friends, we are young and not particulary hard to please. But too much is too much... Rooms are very small, noisy and really dirty. Air conditionned was not working in our room (and nobody knows why). This place is not well organized... more

Bad hotel, pure and simple. We reserved a single room for 2 adults, but were initially put in a family room (all this meant was that there was an extra bed in the room). We then had to pack up and move after the first night, and were put in a double room that was about as noisy as it... more

The reception staff were extremely rude and unfriendly. The rooms were not very clean, my mattress sloped sideways, the bathroom fittings were broken (including shower head, plug in the basin, and pipe fittings). The toilet didn't flush properly. And, it was extremely noisy - from both the street outside and the reception area. It is extremely close to the Station... more

Dreadful place. Be aware, the hotel is on the 5th floor with a rickety lift. We were promised a 1st floor room as I don't use lifts and their email confirmed this but they offered us a 5th floor room on arrival and, being no spring chicken, I wasn't prepared to go up 5 flights of stairs. Anyway, from what... more

There is no doubt that this hotel is two star. It is located near the Termini Railway Station and could not be said to be in the best area of Rome. This was expected however and was chosen for convenience as we were arriving by train. It was also necessary for economical reasons as this area was obviously cheaper, although... more
