We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it's the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Firstly, the area it's located in looks unfriendly and dirty. When we arrived at our room our safety deposit box did not work and when we asked the manager for a new one he said he could not provide us with one... more

I was stuck with this hotel for four nights and would not recommend it. As a single traveler; I expected a small room, very small room and did get it. However I did not expect to not have hot water, just tepid, a broken fridge in the room, a TV that's remote controls did not work. The staff at the... more

We needed a hotel for one night, as we were just passing through and wanted something close to the train station. Previously, we had stayed at the Guibileo, just across the street, which we really liked, but they were full so we settled for this one despite less-than perfect reviews and prepaid it through an agency. When we arrived at... more

Whatever you do, don't book this hotel. When we walked in with our daughter in her buggy, the woman on reception rolled her eyes, which should have warned us of the experience to come. To cut a long story short, the infant cot we booked wasn't available. The only member of staff on duty was rude, aggressive, unhelpful, and refused... more

We booked a 2 night stay at D'Este Hotel in Jan. 2007 thru a travel agent in Naples. The Hotel is conveniently located 5 minutes from Rome's main Termini train station and also a short 5 min. walk from one of the metro lines, which made it easy to get across town to see the Vatican/Sistine Chapel sights. Colosseum/Forum/other ancient... more

The location of this hotel is good. At some point in history, the building itself must have looked quite nice as well. And we had a nice view from the balcony. However... The english proficiency of (all) the desk staff depends on their current mood, which was usually bad. The breakfast , if anything, may help to improve your jaw... more

I was a little worried as the normal place I stay was full, and as usual booked BEFORE checking it out on traipadvisor. Have to say I was pleasantly suprised after reading negative reviews. Its not the Waldorf but I paid €90 for a double room in high season. I was only using the hotel to sleep and shower(which is... more

When i went to my travel agent i asked her for a cheap hotel that was in the middle of Rome. So i got what i paid/asked for. This hotel is just average. I didn't have any problems with cold water like some previous posts i read. The rooms were very small though but thats typical of European hotels. My... more

Close to the center. But you will have to use subway or bus to go to the main area of Rome. Consider this hotel if you are a Budget Traveller. If you can pay a bit more you should go to some hotel closer to the center of Rome. The Termini Station seems to be a safe area but I... more

This is a great little place to stay ..5 mins from Termini Station and 2 mins from Church San Maggiore...We were met by Chinese front of desk who was extremly helpful, gave us a free map of rome and explained all bus and train stops for major attractions. Buffet breakfast in the morning was more than adequate. My parrents had... more
