First, the pros: Several members of the hotel demonstrated excellent service (I.e., front desk and breakfast), good value for 5-star hotel, great proximity to the park, and breakfast, which was included in rate, was decent. Now for the cons: The hotel rooms were small, outdated, and worn-down. Edges of the wallpaper in the bathroom were peeling noticeably. Service was not... More

On our return to Italy this May we again stayed at our favorite hotel in Rome, The Lord Byron. As usual we were greeted with the same wonderful hospitality that would be afforded to an old friend or family member. On this trip, we brought friends from Ohio who agreed with us that this was truly a special place. We... More

PROS: This is a lovely hotel in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. This cuts both ways. You don't have to deal with the noise or the hoards of tourists. The rooms are large for Rome standards, beautifully appointed bathroom, elegant breakfast room. The staff are very pleasant. The continental buffet breakfast was... More

We had the most pleasurable and exceletn stay at Lord Byron. When we checked in they were very disappointed we didn´t let them know in advance that it was our honeymoon so in the next day when we returned to the hotel after our tour we had a delicious bottle of prosecco waiting for us. Spacious rooms very well decorated,... More

My wife and I stayed at the Lord Byron Hotel in May 2013 and we had a wonderful time! The hotel is lovely, located in the quiet neighborhood with wonderful amenities for couples. The staff was especially attentive and helpful and a special birthday dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious and delightful. We recommend this hotel highly.

I had my mind set on this property for quite some time, though only booked at last minute, and received a very reasonable rate. The hotel. It is indeed small. But that's what it's about!, it's a small boutique hotel with an amazing collection of Art Deco pieces throughout. It's done just right, not too gaudy, just simple yet utterly... More

I spent two nights in this hotel. It is outside the the busy centre and difficult to a access by public transport. A 15 minute walk through the Borghese Gardens will bring you to the nearest metro stop Flaminio. The hotel is comfortable but has absolutely no atmosphere. My room was very small for the price. The breakfast was disappointing... More

We had a 3 night mini break in the hotel and while it is unquestionably a really smart place with great food, great service & great staff it is just not for everyone (in fact the website even says this!). I feel bad writing this as it is part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group and deservedly... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We truly appreciate your sincere feedback and are sorry to read your stay was not fully agreable due to your different expectations. As you might have noticed, our hotel is a very small charming gem in Parioli, thus is a different hospitality concept. We hope you will have further opportunity to come to... More

If you love Art Deco but aren't too fussy about anything else then this is the spot for you. We loved the furniture in the rooms and public areas but the bar wasn't popular so it lacked any atmosphere. I think the hotel simply doesn't have the scale to have any buzz. We didn't eat in the restaurant even though... More

Inpeccable service and very nice quite surroundings. It is lovely to be in a small hotel and to be instanly recogniced by the staff. The hotel has lovely old world charm with all that that inplies. Our room was excellent, maybe little on the small side.
