We recently stayed at the hotel for a weekend trip to Rome. The Hotel staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Vincenzo the concierge was very helpful. Drawing us a route on the map and suggesting areas to visit and places to... More

Superb welcoming service from every member if staff. Room including the bathroom was very spacious and clean. Bedroom fittings were outdated and slightly shabby. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection. Hotel bar was expensive- as in all 5* hotels! Location was great for spanish steps and trevi fountain. Reception staff and concierge were very helpful providing free maps... More

The reviews on TA were mixed so we had no expectations. We did e-mail the hotel before we left requesting adjoining rooms. On our arrival, which was early, we were immediately given our rooms on the 4th floor. To our surprise we were allocated interconnecting rooms, as there were 4 of us in the party. The rooms were very large,... More

I was very worried after reading many of the reviews here for the Ambasciatori Palace. I took the advice of one reviewer and emailed them before arrival, saying I had rad some poor reviews and was slightly worried - expressing desire for a good room. I have to say that the room was a good size with a huge comfortable... More

Our first impressions of the hotel were good, with a well appointed triple room and an excellent location. When our money was stolen from our locked hotel room during breakfast at the hotel, our impression changed drastically. Our room had been cleaned during our absence and the maid left the door open during cleaning therefore no one could be held... More

Nothing apart from location made this hotel memorable. Even after paying to upgrade our room, it was in my opinion far from 5star. More

Dear oh dear.... Booked a "top secret hotel" with lastminute.com and learned two lessons in one go: never again at this hotel and never again a booking blind folded. This hotel appears to be a grand old dame with emphasis on old. Stuffy, slow motion approach of a Fellini movie. I do wonder why Cunard uses it for their cruise... More

First and foremost, I got what I paid for and was generally satisfied but this was only because it was a "top secret hotel" at a cut price £100 - 120 per night. Had I paid full rate I would have been outraged. The reception area is very impressive- all marble, sweeping staircase and oil paintings. However there was nobody... More

Took Airport shuttle to the Hotel door - cheaper and cost much less than using train /metro / taxi.Lovely swift journey showing a glimpse of the beautiful lush countryside. Hotel immaculate and Staff very friendly -Traditional Italian decor and service - great location only minutes walk from Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps - for those who need more global influence... 5-star facade, 5-star prices, but nothing else warrants a 5-star rating! Poor service right from the get-go when the doorman can't be bothered to hold the door for us as we struggle out of cab and through the hotel door with our luggage. Then the desk staff can barely bother to check us in, at least not until they can... More
