When another hotel refused to honor a confirmed reservation, we wound up at the Sistina. What a delightful surprise - great staff, great room, perfect location, beautiful public rooms, and a great breakfast. The only drawback was the weak A/C; but, then, we were in Rome during a brutal heat wave. We probably did better at this hotel than our... more

I read the reviews and booked a twin room. We could only guess how this hotel could be rated 4 Stars..Maybe because if offers hairdryers and sometimes eggs at breaksfast? What it does not have is any news or tv channel in English. Upon arrival there was not a doorman (never was) nor a bellman. We found in our room-a... more

A very nice hotel, not sure it deserves a 4 star rating. There are NO amenities at this hotel. The staff however was great. To sum up the room were a little beat and the hotel a little run down. Great location. more

The Sistina is a terrific spot to venture forth to explore most of Rome. We had a triple room which was very spacious for our 18-year old daughter, husband, and myself although the shower was small. My husband, however, had no problem fitting in and he's 6'5" and 235 lbs. The beds were very comfortable. The first night we discovered... more

Hotel Sistina is ideally placed to see all the attractions in Rome by foot. I didn't think it was worth a 4 star rating - however, it was clean, secure and the staff were polite which is pretty much all you need. And compared with some of the horror stories you hear about hotels in Rome we were quite happy! more

We visited the Sistina recently as part of a large group. Some of the rooms were of a 4 star standard, others were not. Unfortunately ours was the latter. The location of the hotel however was excellent with easy walks to many of the major tourist sights. Breakfast was adequate. Pictures that I have seen on the website of the... more

We found the hotel very good, and it met our needs. You cannot beat the location. It was clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was adequate. Our only complaint is that they serve instant coffee. One day I asked for capuccino, and that was weak and watery. This is unforgiveable in Italy where great coffee is ubiquitous. For 225... more

Stayed for weekend visit 12th to 14th May. Hotel was lovely; from the welcome and assistance from the gentleman who checked us in (and directed us to a wonderful restaurant with what can only be described as oodles of character) to the lady who kept the substantial breakfast topped up. It is not a large grand hotel, rather a welcoming... more

Maybe this hotel uses to have very religious guests , but i think it´s not very usual to have a madonna´s holy heart picture over your bed . Old , badly maintened , and a little bit noisy hotel . He got a good location but you can get similar hotels for about 60 € less , ten minutes away(and... more

The location of this place is UNREAL! Sistina is a boutique hotel just down the road from the Spanish Steps and Via Cavour. A great walk to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. The room was very nice, not quite as glamorous as the internet pic (are they ever?), bed linen and towels were of high quality and very clean. The... more
