I travelled with my two children aged 9 and 6. We got 50% off through Expedia. The staff were very welcoming and took us to our room which looked out over a brick wall (but we did get 50% off.) It was super-clean which I really appreciated. I have stayed at hotels where I don't want to take my shoes... more

Stayed here in September . What a location and the views were unbeatable. Well located to explore all the sites of rome. Staff were excellent and the rooms were top class and well serviced. Have to say also that the service and friendly atmosphere in the rooftop bar at night was brilliant.Well worth a visit . I know I will... more

Service at the front desk and at breakfast was impeccable -- friendly, polite, helpful. Room was comfortable in an old-fashioned brocade-curtains, oriental rugs style. The breakfast (included) featured fresh-squeezed orange juice, eggs, mozarella, fresh fruit. As a solo woman traveller I felt both safe and well-treated during my 6-day stay. My only criticism is the cheesy 1970's lounge type music... more

I picked this hotel because it recieved great reviews. To my shock, the experience was so bad that I actually changed hotels. I'm all about "when in rome" and have stayed in many different hotels around the world, ie: I know European rooms are small. That said, I don't feel that clients should have to put up with a dirty... more

Dear Guest, We are astounded and somewhat upset that the comments you made of the cleanliness of your room was not brought to the attention of the hotel management immediately. We try to resolve any disservice to our guests straight away. Although it may be of limited comfort to you, we certainly feel that this is a "one-off" and unreservedly...

This charming hotel is everything that was described by other travelers. No need for public transportation or taxis - we could walk to all the major attractions. The room was spacious with a window that opened right on to the Forum of Augustus. We could take photos of almost the entire Forum area right from our room. Adored the roof... more

As you mentioned, it is so easy to walk around the local area to see most of the important archaelogical sites of Ancient Rome and from our rooms you can take in that special air. Thank you for your appreciative comments regarding our restaurant, our dedicated employees and the magnificient bar with its view over roof-tops of Rome. We look...

The Hotel Forum is exactly what you would expect from a grand European hotel. The location, overlooking Rome's greatest historic monuments, cannot be surpassed. The decor is elegant and refined, sumptuous and tasteful. The service is impeccable, with the sort of old-world attention to detail and gracious living that makes vacationing here a dream. Our family has stayed at the... more

Could not be in a better location for the Forum, Palatine Hill, Capitoline Museums and Colosseum. Room could do with refurbishment but generally comfortable and clean. Staff, particularly Reception and Concierge, especially friendly and helpful. Restaurant and rooftop terrace lovely - sitting having breakfast and looking out over the Forum made it very special. Hotel is just off a main... more

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary w/ a trip to Rome. A business acquaintance recommended the Hotel Forum (he was born and raised in Rome) as perfect for this milestone occasion. He was right--the room was well appointed and comfortable. We did not have a view of the forums from our room but the terrace more than made... more

Over all our stay was pleasant here except for most of the staff. They didn't really seem to want to go out of there way for you at all, and in this economy, I'm surprised. The decor was lovely and old fashioned and the breakfast room on the top floor served an abundant breakfast in a beautiful roof-top setting. The... more
