The hotel was clean. The help at the desk was great. It was in walking distance to many of the sights of Rome, but close to the bus. It was also walking distance from the train, which you can take from the airport, and to many destinations in Italy. The best way to see Rome is on foot, but be... more

We stayed at Hotel Mediterraneo the end of August. We were greeted with a warm smile upon arrival at the front desk and were given a beautiful room on the 9th floor. We really enjoyed being able to open our window and see St. Peter's Basilica and the rest of the city sites. Also when we were checking in, the... more

We stayed two nights in july. We had a pleasant stay. The hotel is located within a few minutes walk from the termini station and about 15 minutes walk to the colloseum and trevi fountain. Most places of interest are within walking distance as long as you are prepared to walk on average of 25 minutes to get there. Rooms... more

You felt welcomed from the moment you walk through the doors you are met by a reception desk thatis very caring and polite. The staff was extremley friendly. They were very informative and made reservations easily. This is a 4 Star hotel with the feel of a 5 Stars. They were able to answer all your questions. The weekend front... more

Warning: To anyone who plans to take their fantasy vacation to Italy, do not stay here at this hotel. The reception at the front desk was cold and unwelcoming. Once we got into our room that we payed good money for, we discovered that the air conditioning was broken. This is a big problem in the hottest month in Italy.... more

We got the train from the airport as we knew the hotel was near to the train station. On arriving we thought we had the wrong hotel as it looked too smart! The reception staff were very friendly and a porter helped us with our baggage and explained how to work the door keycard and how it also worked the... more

The most memorable aspect of out stay at the hotel is by far the service we received. We were originally given a smoking room and being that neither my husband nor I are smokers we requested a non-smoking room. The front desk very kindly accommodated our request. We found the temperature in the room to be hot and the room... more

Styed in the Mediterraneo on a surprise trip to Rome. Was delighted with the hotel. Located 2 blocks from the train station (Termini) it was handy when we got off the plane to get the train directly into the city centre. The hotel was lovely with 10 floors, the 10th with a roof terrace/bar which terrific views of the city,... more

We stayed here twice this June, for 2 nights at a time. The rooms vary considerably in size - on our second stay we requested a move, as our room reeked of smoke and the floors were uneven and creaked loudly. They gave us a choice of alternatives, so we saw the variations in size. We ended up with an... more

Mediterraneo is centrally located less than a 1/2 block away from the main train/subway station, which makes it very easy for getting around Rome on the metro. We arrived Sunday morning around 11am and our room was ready for us. The room itself was huge: living room, bedroom, and a huge bathroom. The bed was ok. They have a morning... more
