My husband and I stayed at the Mondial for 4 nights in September. The location is excellent - just a few minutes walk from the train station, around the corner from the metro and from the hop-on hop-off bus stop and from McDonalds. About a 20 minute walk from the Colosseum and even closer to the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon.... more

We stayed at this hotel for four night. Located in a great location. Its about 10 min walk from the termini train station. A 2 min walk from the Republica station which is one hop away on the metro from termini. tons of bus headed out to all sorts of locations in Rome stops nearby. Hotel overall is pretty average... more

I spent two nights there this year. Have been there before in 2006 and 2007. I like the hotel. It's clean, the rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. It's a little outdated, but I've certainly had worse in Rome. It's a little pricey, but due to it being quiet at night, a little more modern than other hotels, a great... more

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days towards the end of August. My rating is a value for money rating based upon the price paid of £160 for 3 nights in a twin room. Location is quite good. It is a 10 minute walk from Termini so you don't need to worry about a taxi or underground. It takes... more

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. The hotel is clean with a very nice seating and bar area. Our room was spacious and and clean although a little tired. It partcularly could have done with a repaint of the walls. A wall unit had obviuosly been removed leaving an impression of the outline and... more

My sister and I found the hotel quite easily from Termini station (just a short walk). Good location and quite quiet on a side street. Room was clean and plain but sufficient for our needs and the bathroom was very large and very clean. Air conditioning could have been stronger for us, but that seems to be the norm for... more

This hotel looks far better on the website that what it actually is. We booked a no smoking room and got stuck in a smoking room that smelt of stale smoke. The rooms themselves are average and no frills, definately needs an upgrade. Some of the staff were unfriendly at first, however slowly warmed to us over a few days. One... more

Easy enough to walk to the Hotel Mondial with our luggage. The allocated double room was rejected by the Bell Boy due to the heavy smoke odour. The next room had two single beds which the Chamber Maid quickly converted to a double! The room itself was smallish but adequate with a safe in the wardrobe. It was quite well... more

We stayed for three nights. The location is excellent on a quiet side street not far from train station. Can walk to most places and the metro station Republica is only steps away. Room size is adequate for a hotel in a large European city. However, the furnishing, carpet and decoration need major refurbishing. Bathroom is old and needs updating... more

Picked for location and value, all major sights within 45 minute walk (most only 20mins). Some trepidation as result of some of reviews. Spent lovely 5 nights, and 5 walking days seeing breathtaking Rome. Couldn't fault staff. All very helpful. Yes 3 star, not 4, but fine. Opera house 100m away, but saw Carmina Burana performed in St Paul's within... more
