I was booked to stay at Hotel Lirico for 2 nights upon arriving in Rome. I had been traveling a lot and walked quite a few blocks in 90 degree heat to get to the hotel. Upon arriving they told me they had problems with my room and were sending me to another hotel for that night and I would... more

Stayed once again at the Hotel Lirico having been there a few years before. The hotel reception refit had just finished and it looks very smart. However, the dining room is smaller than before, if that were possible! Travelled this time with our teenagers and baby. Disapointed to find not a single highchair on the premises which mean breakfast was... more

This hotel is in a really good location. Its literally a 10min walk from the Trevi fountain and within walking distance to the colosseum. You can also walk to the metro station to catch a train to the vatican. The hotel itself is clean and the breakfast was just enough to get you going for the day. The hotel itself... more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lirico, the hotel being spotless the staff helpful and friendly. The staff spoke excellant english and recommended places to visit and eat. Our room was spacious with a king sized bed and the air conditioning was very welcome. As others have written it is within easy reach of the sights. The station is... more

Hotel is in a very good location - very close to the main train station and metro. Its an easy walk to most major sights eg. 15mins to Colosseum. Room is a good size with nice cold air conditioning for the summer months. Theres no fridge though. Shower was terrible - small, very weak and at times there was no... more

My husband and I stayed for two nights. On arrival we were greeted cordially and since we were travelling light we did not mind the flight of stairs. The standard room was tiny - big enough to only fit the double bed - but spotlessly clean with new en suite. The breakfast was abundant and just perfect for the start... more

The Hotel Lirico really scores on location. A 5-10 min. stroll from Stazione Termini down the busy Via Viminale takes you to the hotel which is just past the Teatro de'l Opera. Be warned, there is no lift up from the entrance and the carpet is a tad worn but DO NOT let that put you off; the hotel itself... more

We stayed here for 7 nights and found the hotel to be of very good quality while providing excellent value for money. The hotel is in a very good location, plenty of restaurants within in a 10 minute radius and the trevi fountain, colloseum, etc. are all within walking distance. The Vatican required the metro but there were 2 metro... more

We were at the Lirico late july, in peak summer heat. They were still undergoing renovations but we heard nothing from our room and the work was being done from 8 to 5. The staff was ok when it came to help. One of the gentlemen lost his patience with our airline company when I asked him to please confirm... more

This small hotel is suitably located near the main sites in Rome as well as the main train station and many charming restaurantes. During my stay, the rooms were remarkably clean and comfortable and the receptionists were friendly, courteous, reliable and always willing to assist. The hotel is currently undergoing rennovation. It is hoped that the construction will include a lift... more
