We had two nights here before a Carnival curise. Rooms were nice and clean and good size and the staff was frinedly and helpful. No restaurant in the hotel just bar food, and a enjoyable continental breakfast all one needs to start they day. Not a bad walk to St. Peter's. You do need to ask for wash cloths in... more

I loved the Visconti Palace hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable room and a rooftop terrace. The staff were really helpful - booking taxis and supplying me with maps and tips before I headed out. The room, although looking onto a busy road, was quiet. Only Sky News in English. Internet is payable. Breakfast was adequate...not great, but a good enough buffet... more

We spent 2 nights here on a precruise package. Front desk staff was always pleasant and helpful, the hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was actually pretty extensive- cereals, fruits, meats and cheeses, and pastries. It is in a reasonably convenient location, especially if you are OK with using bus/metro to get to some sites which are further away,... more

I organized a group tour to Rome, Florence and Venice. The travel agent recommended the Visconti Palace and we were not disappointed. Contrary to some reviews, the hotel staff was very accommodating and polite as well as helpful. The rooms were modern and clean and the breakfasts were certainly adequate enough to please anyone. The hotel is in a good... more

My husband and I stayed at the Visconti Palace hotel for 4 nights in March. We had read the reviews about surly staff and disappointing breakfasts, and I am pleased to report that we found the exact opposite. The staff were welcoming, pleasant and efficient, the lobby area is bright and welcoming. We scored with our room as we had... more

We have just got back from Rome and had a fantastic time. We stayed at the Visconti Palace Hotel for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. We found the staff friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and a pretty good size for Europe. The buffet breakfast was also very good with a selection for all tastes.... more

Spent six nights in the Hotel Visconti Palace in Rome in November 07. On arrival we had a friendly welcome from the numerous reception staff. All were keen to help with a variety of questions regarding the hotel itself, the location and about Rome itself. The reception area, bar and lounge are modern and well maintained. The bar stocks a... more

We stayed for 3 nights in July 07, and chose the hotel because of its location and price. As it says in the website, it is a very modern hotel, with a nice lobby and beautiful, if a bit small, rooms.(We did not have a suite, just a standard double) The best thing about it is the area, as it... more

Transfers from the airport - cabs cost 50-60 Euro Train approx 10 Euro into city centre and then get a taxi to the hotel. We were approached by a man at the train station entrance who agreed to transfer us for 20 Euros each straight to the hotel door. But we had to wait until he filled the bus with... more

Just stayed at the hotel for 2 nights with my wife. The front desk staff is extremely RUDE!!!!! - don't acknowledge guests when we check in. Don't offer to assist when we were standing there waiting for so long to check in. Even during checking in processing - staff will roll eyes and you and give you that extremely couldn't... more
