On our second trip to Rome we chose to stay at the Hotel Mascagni and it was a great decision. The location placed us near the center of Rome and all modes of transportation. The staff was extremely helpful and wanting to please. We arrived before check in and were escorted to the dining area to relax and enjoy a... more

I had researched many hotels in Rome and booked this hotel because of the many positive reviews I had read on Trip Advisor and for its location. It is only a 5 to 10-minute walk from Roma Termini, just past Piazza della Repubblica. We felt very safe in the area where this hotel is located. We arrived earlier than check-in... more

Pros: -Great location to visit Rome's main cultural sites. You are near the subway, Termini, a tour organizer's pick-up point and can easily walk to reach different parts of the city. -The room was larger than expected (especially after having stayed at a closet-sized room in Paris!) -Breakfast selection was good. The daily pastries were delicious! -The hotel was nicely... more

This hotel is situated in P de Republica where there is a Metro station and a bus stop to take you directly down into the centre of the city. On our first day we walked easily from the hotel to the Pantheon passing the Quirnale the Trevi Fountains and many other wonderful sites en route. It is therefore in a... more

We stayed here with our two children, 10 and 13. The hotel offered us a room with a large bed (made by pushing together two single beds) and two single beds rolled in for the kids. Although the additional beds made the room a little tight we appreciated the accommodation (some hotels will refuse to do this). A bellman greeted... more

The Hotel Mascagni proved to be a stylish hotel in a great location. Near the Piazza Republica, Via Nazionale and a short walk to Via Veneto. The hotel offered a warm welcome from the moment we checked-in. Marco (?) spoke English and Spanish and offered some ideas on what to visit, he is very enthusiastic and helpful. Breakfast was very... more

We stayed in 2 rooms with our young adult children. The rooms were good sized and luckily the air conditioner worked as it was unseasonably hot. The location was good and Luciano at the desk was very good in directing us and finding restaurants. It is in a business area but it is near the metro and you can walk... more

We stayed at the Hotel Mascagni for 4 nights. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We were traveling with our 2 teenagers 13 and 17. The hotel upon our request had adjoining rooms for us which worked out great. The rooms were larger than we were expecting after reading so many stories about how all the rooms were very... more

This was our first time staying at the Mascagni and I have to say we were very pleased both with the service and the hotel itself. The staff is probably the friendliest staff I have ever encountered during a trip to Italy and they really do try to bend over backwards to help you and satisfy your requests. Luciano at... more

Very nice hotel. Close to railway station, sights and Metro stop. Excellent professional staff offered dining and sightseeing advice and reservations. If you are unfamiliar with Rome they are a great resource. Breakfast was fine, room was attractive, clean, comfortable and spacious. Nice bathroom with tub. more
