It tries to be a lovely hotel. If nothing else their reception desk people are great. Luciano's smile is always shining and he is eager to help with whatever you need. Here my positive experience with this hotel kinda stops. I call this a 'shoe box hotel' because this is how I felt being there. All spaces are so small,... more

The Hotel Mascagni is a great hotel in a great location, situated just of Republica and Via Nazionale. The Republica metro is literally 100 metres from the hotel. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the buffet breakfast is very good. They offer a selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurts, cold meats, eggs (scrambles and hard boiled), bread rolls, tea, coffee... more

If you want a nice hotel in Rome with a decent location and affordable price this is the place for you. The hotel has great access to the metro (perfect for getting around Rome quickly for 1 euro per person) and is within 10 minutes of the train station. It is within a moderate walking distance to most of the... more

We found the Hotel Mascagni to be even more than what we expected. It is a small hotel with excellent accommdations and an ideal location. We could walk to many key sites and used the nearby metro for the Vatican.. The concierge service was outstanding and personal. They listened to what we wanted to experience and helped us accomplish what... more

I was a little concerned about chosing a hotel in Rome as read so many bad reviews but the Mascagni was wonderful. The staff could not have been more helpful in particular the gentleman on the desk in the evenings (so sorry cannot remember his name). On arrival we were given a choice of two rooms both lovely but decided... more

I found this hotel very clean. The position is perfect. The room are not very big I have to admit. We had room n 302 which was close to the service room and was very noisy. I think the problem was only of this kind of rooms though. The staff is very kind! more

I loved this hotel, the rooms are big, clean and nice, helpful people and such a good breakfast! I have advised all my friends to go there and I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to Rome. It's simple, for me, if it's Rome, it's Mascagni Hotel! more

My husband and I meet in Rome and decided to return to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary with our 3 children (all young adults). We had a ball. We saw Ireland win the Rugby International, loved our hotel it was really central and threw a coin in the Trevi Fountain in the hope that we might return again someday. Five... more

I booked a 7 day trip to Rome through American Airlines Vacations and selected this hotel from the choices they gave me based on the reviews onTripAdvisor. I was not disappointed in any way. The hotel has been recently renovated. Public spaces and hotel rooms were decorated in a sophisticated and elegant manner. My king room was surprisingly spacious for... more

If it wasn’t for the Mascagni Hotel our whole trip would be a disaster since our luggage were lost for the 2 out of 4 day staying in Rome. They were fantastic!! They were so helpful and kind and had all the good qualities you expect from any hotel staff. The hotel and rooms itself was the cleanest I’ve ever... more
