Picked the Gioberti for location and price and it did not disappoint. Location a little seedy, but nice hotel and clean room with good breakfast, except for the coffee, which I couln't drink! Great access through metro, bus, trams or walking to all Rome's attractions. Visitors to Rome beware the microwave culture in a lot of cafes: terrible soggy pizza! more

Gioberti is certainly very handy for Termini station - just across the road. Don't be put off by mention of the "dodgy" surroundings in the guidebooks - yes, it is a typical station area but there are a couple of decent places to eat and drink.
