Enrico (the owner I assume), was very kind and helpful. We asked for extra bed for the double room and he accomodated with no extra charge. He also helped us get a van to the airport, for a very cheap price (55euros total for 5 of us, with 2 luggages each). This is way cheaper than taking train or taxi so I suggest you also ask him to get you the same. The name of the driver was Mario and he came with his son which made us feel safe (note that public transportation in Rome is not safe for tourists, see separate review of Stazione Termini). The hostel was located close to Baldo Degli Ubaldi metro station (around 5minute walk) and also right across a bus stop. There is a convenience store close to the hostel in case you need to get some food or supplies. The rate to book this place is very cheap so don’t expect a lot. It’s a B&B place which feels like your own home. You can use the kitchen for cooking and they have fridge, oven, etc. Breakfast included only lemon-flavored croissants, cereals, instant coffee, milk, and nesquik. We expected some bacon and eggs at least (or at least plain croissant); but still it was worth the price and I would still highly recommend it for the proximity to train station and for the very accomodating host.

He take care about our shuttle bus from/for airport, he made for us reservation for restaurant and give us all informations we need concerning Rome. One again many thanks for the owner. Myself and my partner recently stayed here for a weekend break in Rome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here , owner Henry could literally not do enough for you even at 10pm at night . It is a B&B situated in an apartment block once you get inside it is immaculate with modern decoration. Having read other reviews I feel it's worth mentioning that it is not a five star hotel and the price of it clearly reflects that . We paid £260 to stay for four nights in October , you could not get this anywhere in the world ! Given this we were very impressed . The b&b Itself has everything you may need as a base for you exploration of Rome . There is on demand coffee a fridge for your water and free wifi. Bed is comfy enough for your stay and shower is excellent . The surrounding area is a residential area However as mentioned before it is 100 m from an excellent Metro system which will take your to all the important landmarks . The area around the B&B also has some nice restaurants one particularly nice Italian and Chinese . It's also has some well stocked supermarkets. We took a private taxi to and from the Airport which Henry organised for us. This cost us 45 euros each way , it was hassle free and the driver Mario was a very nice man who has us laughing all the way . All in all our stay at the Romantic B&B was an excellent one and we would highly recommend .

Great stay, the host is so welcoming and friendly. When we left our shuttle bus was really late picking us up and as we couldn't speak much Italian the man called up the company to see what was going on. Breakfast was great in the morning, he would make us eggs and hot chocolate and was really accommodating. It is quite a walk in to the centre of Rome but we didn't mind the walking. I would definitely stay here again!

have to say I was rather disappointed with this accommodation. Having read the amazing reviews, I am afraid I can only agree with two things - the fact that the owners were lovely and extremely helpful and that it was near the metro. On the other hand I thought it could have been cleaner e.g. dust on lamp shade on ceiling, small veranda had dirty ashtray and looked neglected. The small safe in the wardrobe wasn't bolted down therefore quite easy to pop under your arm if you wished. Breakfast choices were not at all healthy, although the owner did offer various options to compensate for this. Would have liked to have the option of having breakfast in our room. Room was really dark as not much light gets in. Bed covers were all wrinkled and although washed had not been ironed. No mirror in bedroom therefore unable to do makeup/hair until partner had finished using the bathroom. Bed was extremely squeaky. Air condition was rather noisy. Its a shame really as these things could easily be fixed, therefore perhaps a little more attention to the little things would improve this property

Four of us stayed here in August (me, my wife and two kids) and would recommend the place. Difficult to find at first, and in an area with little around it- we arrived early expecting to be able to get a beer and a bite to eat, but couldn't find anywhere. The place itself is in a block of apartments/offices- once inside, we found a nicely decorated, modern room. Henry, the owner was very helpful and served a lovely breakfast. As a place to stay close to central Rome, this place is great- reasonably priced, clean and modern, with a good location. Would highly recommend, especially for couples, but we had plenty of room with a 12 and 10 year old in tow!

This was a pretty little room with clean and tidy facilities. The room keepers were very friendly and always willing to help. The blackout shutters and air conditioning ensured a great nights sleep! This place was a little tricky to find, but definitely worth it!

Our family of five stayed at the Romantic Holiday Home in late July. Our suite was superb. The Room was large enough to suit our needs and Henry, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful. Breakfast was served in the communal room each morning and Henry even pre-prepared it for us on our last day as we had an early morning flight, as well as checking the bus times back to the airport for us, very thoughtful of him. The Building is just a short walk from the nearest metro station and so really well located. What we noticed particularly was the cost of restaurants locally was a lot lower than in the middle of the city and of better quality. The local mainly residential area was much quieter and so we had no problem with traffic keeping us awake. All in all we were extremely happy with the room, our host, and it’s location. Perfect for a short break in Rome. In terms of tips: if arriving in Ciampino and planning to use the metro to get to the Suite, then take the transfer bus to Anagnina metro station (€1 per person) and the take the metro right through to Baldo degli Ubaldi. It’s much easier than taking the bus to Termini and picking up the metro from there as we learnt. The street where the suite is found is on the left hand side of the main road going downhill. We purchased the 7 day transport ticket which can be used for bus, tram and metro and some rail links, that really helped, and kids under ten get free transport. Lots of the sites you’ll perhaps want to see are free to EU citizens aged 18-25 such as the Colloseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum and if travelling further afield Pompeii too. We took a trip to the beach at Ostia Lido, our experience was unless you really, really, want to go to a beach it’s a long way and for us not worth the effort sorry. Much better, and taking only a bit longer, was a day trip to Pompeii using the high speed rail from Termini to Naples then the local Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii. It was expensive to get there but cost almost nothing to gain entrance. We pre-booked out Vatican museum tickets which meant entrance was much quicker than the huge queues outside, but you still needed to queue up to get into the Vatican itself bear in mind.
