We used TripAdvisor before booking and did find the hotel very clean, lots of hot water, well located, with a good breakfast buffet. On the down side was the unannounced scaffolding on the whole facade, meaning no light or view at all for the moment and no compensation either! This hotel was in a very good location as far as attractions are concerned. Everything but the Vatican was in a walking distance. This was a lovely hotel with even lovlier staff. We had a room booked from the internet-turned out horrible. We happened upon this place and it was a good find. The location could not have been better. It was close to the train station which took you anywhere in Rome. My mother lost her passport and they were so helpful.... more

I will definitely give this hotel one thing - and one thing only - the staff are it's only good point (they are helpful and friendly). This cannot however make up for being told that we would have a delux room with a jaccuzzi, only to open the doors to a broom cupboard with a childrens bath with air jets... more
