This was a very nice hotel maybe because we had a room with a view of the city and the room was equiped with a terrace. The terrace was well lit at night ...bring bug spray....and provided a table and chairs. The bathroom and the actual room was new with mosaic tiles, marble and art work were a blessing. Robert,... more

This hotel has a lot of tours staying with them. They are on the lower floors. I didn't see those rooms, but I saw the hallways. If you want really nice rooms you must make a reservation for an executive room. These rooms are on the 8th floor. We had the simplest (no lounge and not a suite) room. Our... more

We stayed at the Palatino for 3 nights and 4 days over the weekend in August. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and good quality feel of our room! We had a nicely decorated room with lounge area, and a bathroom with not only a good sized shower but also a good sized separate bath! We werent planning on... more

After looking on line at MANY hotels in Rome, I decided on the Palatino. It looked lovely and the location was perfect. Unfortunately, as I have learned on other occasions, sometimes photos don't tell the whole story, or a business can be very selective with what they photograph. Our room looked like it had not been updated in atleast 40... more

When we arrived for our 8 night honeymoon stay, their garage was flooded and they offered to leave our car in a reserved area in front of the hotel. We left our keys with them in case they needed to move it. At 8am I went down to move the car to the garage and found that they had illegally... more

We were with a tour company at this hotel, and understand why. The rooms are a standard size for Europe, were clean, and the shower actually worked well. The area felt safe, the front desk was most helpful, and english is universal. Beside the hotel are stairs that take you to a narrow road behind the hotel with a fabulous... more

We spent one night at the Palatino Grand Hotel before boarding a cruise ship the following day. The staff was very friendly and upon arrival the front desk advised us that they had upgraded us to an executive suite (we booked a superior room). The suite was very spacious with a beautiful bathroom and a private balcony. A piano bar... more

Great large room, clean and comfortable - with plenty of room for 3 people. Large, luxury bath with separate tub and shower, 2 sinks - all marble. Great location. Could walk to all ancient Roman sights and 2 blocks from Metro station. Plenty of good breakfast foods available. Staff helpful. more

Pros: location great!, clean rooms, large hotel with all amenities, speak english Cons: pricey, broken AC, wont help you out, bad breakfast (for USA folk) This was the 3rd and final hotel on our Gate 1 Affordable Italy Tour. It was basically the worst one. The location is great! about 200 ft to the Cavour Subway line from which it's... more
