We have just returned from a lovely 4 day stay at the Hotel and would definitely recommend it for anyone wishing to have a romantic stay in central Rome. It is only 5 minutes walk from the Central train Station. It is so close to the key places of interest, we only used a taxi once when visiting Vatican. Our... more

stayed with my sister for 2 nights in Jan 2009. The price we paid was very good and I thought this hotel was great value. It is a good 4 star in a great location. The staff are good, breakfast was nice, room was small but very comfortable. great stay. more

Perfect location central location. Check in was easy--staff spoke English well. Rooms were clean and very roomy. Great firm beds. Breakfast was very good. Staff very helpful. Location was about 8-10 blocks from train station but we jumped the Metro to get to the hotel. Metro station close and a good way to get around Rome. more

We stayed in the Grand Hotel Palatino at th end of February 2009. The location is fine and just a 5-minute´s walk to Collosseum. The Metro Station Cavour is 2 minutes to go. You can walk to the old town in 20 minutes using Via Nazionale with the opportunity of windowshopping. We think that the hotel is a little bit... more

We just spent 4 nights at the Grand Palatino over Valentine's Day weekend and were very impressed with the location and the quality of the lodging for the money we spent (around $150 USD per night for a top-floor executive room with a king bed and full buffet breakfast, including taxes and fees). As for the room, I'll mostly leave... more

I did not get a good feeling about this hotel from the moment we arrived. On an extremely busy street and very noisy. The staff always seemed to know best and tended to be either pushy or not there. We waited for nearly 30 minutes for a barperson to appear to serve us drinks on lunch time. Our room was... more

I spent six nights at the Hotel Palatino and loved the hotel. My room was spacious and comfortable with a cozy chair. The breakfast each morning was lovely-polenta with sausage, eggs, bacon, hard rolls, cornettas, juice, fruit and freshly sliced salami and proscutti. Coffee and hot milk on the table.Cappacinos on request. Location was perfect- about a block or two... more

The location of this hotel is great. It is located about a 5 minute walk north of the Colosseum. It's a 10-20 minute walk to other Rome attractions like the Panteon, Piazza Navona, and the Trevi Fountain. There is a Metro stop less than a block away, and the central Metro station (Termini) is only a 10 minute walk. The... more
