Very happy with our stay. Fantastic location. It's the first train stop from Termini station. Hotel was one block from metro stop. Hotel was above average; not sure I would give it four stars, but we were very comfortable in our room. $198 usd per night included taxes and full (and decent) breakfast. My two teenage kids and and I... more

My 10 year old daughter and I took my mother to Rome for her 65th birthday and stayed for 4 days. We booked a city break through Travelocity and chose the Grand Hotel Palatino after reading the reviews on here. We were not disappointed in the slightest and had a fabulous hotel stay. We checked in around 11.30am and were... more

This hotel is on Via Cavour in central Rome. Its location is just so ideal. Just 5 minutes walk away is the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatino, Termini station (Rome's main train station), and the Via Imperioli which has numerous sites to see. The Church of San Giovanni is not so far away either. You can also walk to Piazza Navona,... more

I stay at this hotel when I have to make quick stopovers in Rome and don't want to spend too much, Florence Hotel Group hotels offer good value but lacks in quality. Front desk service and friendliness is average, I booked a Deluxe room on the top floor, it came with a nice balcony and a nice view (depend on... more

The Palatino Grand Hotel, is situated about 500 metres from the Colosseum. The junior suite we stayed in, looked like it belonged to a different hotel. It was very big and beautifully decorated. It had 2 flat screen TVs, a large marble bathroom, a walk in closet and was spotlessly clean. (Maybe they have only renovated the junior suites and... more

The hotel is close to the colloseum, the trains and metro stations are within walking distance. However, I would not give this hotel a 4 star rating. The staff are friendly and polite but their eagerness to not knock on doors to get in and clean our room is too much. I was woken up everyday by a cleaner marching... more

We loved the location of this hotel. Very close (walking distance) to all the major sites (ancient Rome). Room was clean, comfortable, big enough for 2 people, small, but nice bathroom. Good air condo. more

We stayed here for 4 nights and found the location to be ideal. Very close to the Coloseum and the Palatine Hill ruins. Also, we like the proximity of the Metro station which, we used frequently during our stay. The rooms were large and clean, good air conditioning. They seem to need a bit of an update but I liked... more
