We spent 3days and 2 nights at the Mecenate. We had a room in the "Executive Wing" which once you are inside may be but involved entering through a dirty door surrounded by scaffolding then a flight of about 30 stairs to get to a locked door into the Wing. We spent one night at the hotel. Booked a family room which was really spacious with a large bathroom. Staff really helpful- providing maps and good information. Also spoke excellent English. Breakfast continental with a good choice of fruit ( including fresh and tinned), selection of cheeses and meats, cereal, yoghurts, breads and pastries. Very good value for money. more

My wife and I travelled to Rome In July and stayed at this hotel. We were in Room 423 with an amazing view of the piazza and Santa Maria Maggiore. The room was clean with a good size en suite bathroom. Complimentary buffet breakfast on the terrace included fresh pastries, meats, cheeses, fruits, and the usual bevs, all excellent quality.... more
