I stayed in the Duke Hotel for 11 nights. The room was compact but very clean- the bathroom was the largest I have seen outside a 5 star hotel in Europe. The breakfast (included) was great. The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly with excellent English- nothig was too much trouble- highly recommended for business or pleasure. more

would recommend this hotel to anyone who has booked a short stay in rome. The rooms are very pretty and immaculate. The hotel is in a residential area approx. 5 min from the centre of rome, but you can walk which takes about 30 min or jump a taxi. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly and could not... more

The Good: Its been a few days since I first check in and I have to say I like it alot here. Its clean, very quite, cool, and beautiful. As a tourist it pretty much has everything I expect in a good hotel; free breakfast, wifi (not free), wide clean rooms, friendly service, and a free shuttle bus service (its... more

Right, so if you want to be in the Centre of Rome and have to deal with the millions of people, and the noise generated by those people, then this hotel is NOT for you. However, if like me, you want somewhere peaceful and quiet, a retreat almost, then this place is excellent. The staff were all very friendly and... more

This hotel was a disappointment. It was a good 15 minute (albeit by courtesy car) drive from the city and is in a residential area. There was nowhere to stroll at night as the area is just row after row of apartments. Breakfast was quite good, we ate dinner one night and there was only one other couple dining. The... more

The hotel is decorated nicely. Our room was large (junior suite) with a seperate bedroom and living room plus balcony. The staff was very efficient, courteous and helpful. A shuttle service was available to take you to the city center but, you do need to book in advance (highly recommended). If not, you can get a taxi pretty quick. The... more

We had looked at trip advisor before we went to this hotel so we expected it to be out of the centre. It's fair to say it was further away from the tourist zone than we expected but we feel this was a good thing as the nights were quiet and restful. The free shuttle service to the Spanish Steps... more

The hotel is located in a residental area of the city but they run a shuttle down to the tourist areas. The lobby is nicely decorated and the staff was great. The room had a bed room with a balcony that looked into some one's yard, a couch and small table with two chairs. The bed was typical European....like a... more

I thought the Duke Hotel was beautiful. The neighborhood is out of the way, but I thought it was better than being in the middle of the craziness of Rome. And it wasn't so far that you couldn't get around. They have a great shuttle service and Villa Borghese was within walking distance. In addition, if you walked around the... more

We spent two nights there. We were with another couple. The rooms were small. We did have a table and chairs in our room and a huge walk in closet, but our friends only had a tiny, tiny closet and no table and chairs. Our biggest complaint was the location and with the unfriendly front desk. They made no effort... more
