The Hotel Cicerone is a first-rate hotel located within walking distance of the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo and a number of good restaurants. The hotel serves an excellent breakfast, the rooms are well maintained and the furnishings and bathroom area very clean. The hotel staff is courteous and fluent in two or more languages. We will certainly stay at the... More

The service was poor. I enquired at reception about wifi. I was tod after reaching the front of the line that I had to queue in another line and the clerk pointed to another line which the clerk watched me join. On reaching the front I was told this was the wrong line and I had to join the one... More

As many others have stated, the location is great so if you are only in Rome for a few days this is probably worth your stay. If you are staying longer than you may want to consider other hotels. We found this to be mixed - bartender very nice, front desk not so, bellhop very nice, waitress not so, etc.... More

We stayed in the Cicerone twice, once for three nights at the beginning of a two week pilgrimage trip and then again on the last night before leaving to come home. The first room was outstanding in every way! The second, not so much. The first, everything worked, we had a nice view and lots of space. The second, the... More

This was a perfect location - very clean - bathrooms were spotless - but the pillows & bed were rock hard. Not sure what I paid bc it was included in a Globus Tour package. More

We arrived early from the port and our room was ready. The staff was extremely helpful in finding places to eat and in repairing a broken pair of glasses. The room was large and air conditioned. It was located within walking distance of the Vatican. More

This was our 2nd trip to Hotel Cicerone....a quiet neighborhood and a beautiful hotel with all the amenities. The buffet breakfast is fabulous and we never have need for lunch after the breakfast...just a snack and wine at 6PM and off to dinner. This is easy walking distance from the Vatican Museum as well as the Spanish stepd and the... More

We purchased a package from our cruise for the day after in Rome. From the internet information, the Cicerone Hotel looked very nice and we agreed to pay the large fee for the six of us to stay there for one night. The location is very good. You are near the Vatican and can walk to the northern tourist spots... More

We stayed here with on tour for independent travelers. We enjoyed the area; able to walk to Vatican and several bars & eateries near by.Restorante Pi Bus also available across the street & subway a few blocks away. Room was good size for Italy. Our view was the back side of the buildings but we don't spend much time in... More

The room that 3 of us shared was a bit cremaped, but the breakfast was very good, and the bartender made a great martini for our pre-dinner cocktail. The hotel was centrally located and relatively convenient. More
