The hotel's main asset is its location, close to Manzonni Metro. The neighborhood was safe enough during the day (despite appearances), and there were a few restaurants and other amenities in walking distance. The hotel itself was unacceptable. Cramped, muggy rooms with small, uncomfortable cots, toilets that didn't flush properly, no working telephones for our entire stay, intermittent lighting, and... more

I'm going to get straight into this. All my brother's clothes were stolen at the Hotel Bled. When we complained to the reception, the extremely rude woman called the cleaning lady and asked whether she had stolen clothes (as if she was going to admit she had). That was about as far as her investigation went. Then she told us... more

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel Bled in early July 2009. We booked the hotel as part of a last minute package deal through teletext. We paid approximately £280 for 3 nights accommodation. I cannot say that this hotel was awful, I had read other reviews on TripAdvisor so I was prepared for something distinctly average, which it... more

We travelled via a well known tour operator that specialises in DDay Veterans. We arrived initially at a sister hotel - the Hotel San Juisto (Don't bother going there either). The hotel was not suitable for several of disabled veterans so we were transferred to the Hotel Dread (Bled) - no hot drinks with dinner, but then there was hardly... more

Very good plus of this hotel is it's location - aprox. 20 minutes walk from Coloseum but generally that's it. We had bed & breakfast option. Breakfast buffet was very poor, simple selection of breads, some yoghurts, 2-3 platters with meat and cheese, croissants (you had to go very early to get any), jams and juices. Tea and coffee was... more

My bag has benn stolen one minute after I stepped in the hotel with all my personal needs in it!Take care who ever you are, whatever you have in your handbag! The men behind the reception desk did not care about anything, not even me and my problem. He did not even came out to check what could happen. Did... more

The room was OK - more like 2* though. We stayed here as there was somewhere to put our car. You'd better be early for breakfast (boiled eggs, ham, cheese, awful rolls) because when things on the buffet run out they are not replenished. There was absolutely no way of getting a cup of tea or anything in the hotel... more

On arrival into hotel at 22.30, we were told that no paperwork existed for our stay. After quite a protracted argument with the extremely rude male receptionist, we felt because of the lateness of the hour, we had no choice but to pay for a room for one night. We weren't sure of the area or where to look for... more

Just wanted to add some comments. Others commented on the location because the metro was closed, we had no problems with the Manzoni station, nice short walk from hotel, but definately open. The main problem with the location is that the hotel is towards the outskirts and whilst not in a "rough" area, its not a pleasant walk back from... more
