Finding the hotel was a bit of a nightmare, the easiest way is to get the over ground train to Stazione Roma. From there go under the station away from the bus terminas and turn left. The hotel is 300m on the right. Apart from the location and the un-reliable shuttle bus we loved this Hotel. The rooms were clean,... more

I have just returned from three nights at the Summit Roma Hotel in Rome. The hotel is rated as a 4* but is absolutely shocking! Dirty and tatty with paper thin walls! I had to change rooms three times before I was offered something vaguely suitable and this was only after I had asked for a refund so I could... more

Having just got back (yesterday 18/3/05) from a 3 day stay in the Summit Roma Hotel. The following observations were made, This hotel is WELL WELL OUT OF THE WAY from the centre of Rome. The nearest station to it is Cornelia Metro station. There is a free shuttle bus that runs to this station from the hotel but be... more

I stayed at this hotel (Feb 2005). The rooms were fine- no power points unless you unplug the fridge! but no problems! The staff we well presented and fairly helpful. A few of us became ill and although the hotel has a shop which sells some throat sweets it was extremely hard to understand when it actually opened to buy... more

We stayed at the Summit for a long weekend and found it to be okay. The hotel itself is situated outside of the city so the free shuttle service only operates between the hotel and the closest metro station at restricting times - not ideal for when you'd like to stay out late in the city. The staff were courteous... more

beautiful old building ( used to be a convent) w/ many renovations, the individual rooms could use new decor, but the service and food is excellent-- best pizza and outdoor terrrace grill by the pool - our young school kids loved it-- has the feel of a caribbean resort in the middle of rome - the convenient shuttle bus is... more

Summit Roma is quite far from most attractions in Rome. The pool is extraordinary. The food is not, nor are the rooms. Rooms are crowded, mildewy, and service is sporadic. The outdoor area is lovely, as are the outdoor bar, and pizzeria. This is one property which I would only return to if it were free. One week there was... more

Stayed at the hotel for four days in July, 2004. The description we were given said approx 3 km (walking distance) from city centre, close to restaurants etc. Not true! Far from! Had to take a bus or free shuttle to nearest metro station (almost the last stop) to get near to the attractions and restaurants. Room? The closet contained... more

First of all, you should know that this hotel is located way out of the main city area. The nearest metro station is Cornelia which is 10-15 min. away from the hotel with bus. The hotel offer free shuttle to the metro and the airport. You could also take the bus to the metro just 500-600 m away from the... more
