The hotel is a few blocks from Termini Station, which makes transportation into/out of and within Rome very accessible. It's walking distance to a lot of sites, depending on what your idea of walking distance is - certainly, the Colosseum and Palatine Hill are close enough for almost any guest to walk to. The staff were unremarkable but fine, and... More

We travelled from Ciampino airport on bus and arrived at Termini station in approx 40 mins. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from here. The Metro is also situated here at Termini which is useful for longer journeys i.e to get to Vatican. The Hotel room and bathroom were both large and clean with supplies of usual toiletries. Plenty... More

First, the location is excellent. Just walk out of Termini station, cross the road towards McDonald's, take Via Manin and you're in the square of Santa Maria Maggiore. Cross this impressive square and there's the hotel. Most decorous, in classic style, and (almost tempted to say "for once in Rome") the reception staff is cordial and efficient. I'm a return... More

Don't listen to the spoilt Americans below. This hotel is really decent. The location is great, right next to the Santa Maria Maggiore, walking distance from great tourist spots. Supermarket nearby, plus loads of great restaurants. Room is large, perfect for a couple. Bed comfy, and bathroom is large and decent plenty of tables and storage for clothes. Decent sized... More

Stayed here for two nights in early October. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfasts had everything you could want to eat before your day of sightseeing. Great location to all attractions. Service was excellent. Wonderful rooftop terrace. Highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel on side street not even 10mins from the Colosseum.Wonderfully central location for exploring all sides of Rome, with lovely restaurants around and shops for snacks. We stay for 4 nights in Gallia hotel. The location and roof terrace was fabulous. But the air conditioning was not working and every day they told us that it will fix tomorrow. The furniture in the room was old and a television in the size of computer monitors in a family room and they add a child bed in... More

It was my second visit in Rome. This time, it was much better. Hotel was good, friendly and helpful staff. Big bathroom, clean. Exept conditioner, all was ok. Place is very crowdy all day long, so if you want to live in quite place - choose the other hotel. Some problems with lift, but for us it was nothing.
