The hotel is well situated, but the front of house staff could not give a damn about their guests. The air conditioning was not turned on centrally, but it could not have been used in the room (401) anyway as the unit was too noisy. The room was dirty, with layers of dust, torn wallpaper, even a previous client's socks... more

Well what can I say, I won a Trip to Rome and this was booked by the Event Mangers, I was promised a luxuary night in Rome at a 5 star hotel. When we arrived it looks good from the outside, However looks are very diciving we were booked for a Twin room but given a double so I asked... more

The Gallia Hotel is in a superb location - 5 mins walk from the termini station (although I didn't realise when I arrived and got screwed by a taxi man - so be warned) 5-10 mins from pretty much everywhere else - Collosseum, Trevi Fountain etc. Hotel was very clean and very quiet. I never saw any other guests except... more

We were originally booked to stay at one of the other Leonardi properties-Hotel Viminale- but due to a flood in our room, we were booked here, Viminale paid for and calleda a cab--and we couldn't have been happier! We stayed athe Gaillia for five days. The location is great for exploring. The room was large enough for two-nice big marble... more

We returned yesterday after a week in Rome in the Gallia Hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent. You are within walking distance to everything, taxi drivers know it (rather they know St. Maria Maggiore) and there are bus and metro stations very near. The rooms vary between tiny and ok. The baths are newly done and clean. The... more

My husband and I were less than satisfied with our stay at the Gallia. The staff was not helpful at all, one staff member actually rolled his eyes at us when we asked a question about local restaurants. There were no maps or tourist information in the lobby, so it took us a while to figure out where we actually... more

This hotel is listed as a 4* but I would put it at 3*. Hotel was clean but no bath. Also there was no hospitality tray which one would expect in a 4* establishment. I always enjoy a cuppa especially after travelling and getting settled in to the room instead of having to rush out to a cafe to have... more

Visited the property 12/27/05 - 01/01/06 due to descriptions of central location and combination with air/lodging package. On the positive side the property is, as advertised, a few blocks from the major Rome train station and St. Maria Maggiore (which is stunning and second only to St. Peters in my opinion). Unfortunately this area between the station is a little... more

Hotel located on a busy street. Windows are 90% sound proof but you can still hear the traffic. Location is excellent, rooms are clean. Some have huge twin beds and are spacious while others are small with small twin beds (room 308 for example). Great differences between rooms. We stayed at room 309 which was great and spacious. One more... more

We were moved to this hotel from another which was a bit of a worry at first but when we got there we were pleasantly surprised as it was well above average for a central hotel in Rome. The staff who spoke good English (better than our Italian for sure) were helpful and polite. Breakfast was typicaly continental but nevertheless... more
