I booked this hotel after reading review on this board. Upon reaching there I found that realty was different. I had booked two double rooms. One room given to us was really bad very bad and dirty. The toilet flush was not working and no action was taken even after we reported. In response to our request for change of... more

We were at the Amalia for four nights. All of the men working the front desk were surly. They did give us wakeup calls, and arrange our airport transportation, grudgingly. I felt that I was annoying them with any question or request. Our room was clean and spacious, but had dirty wallpaper, spots on the ceiling, just a shower and... more

Hotel Amalia was a great place to start our trip! The front desk was so helpful and willing to do anything for us! The hallways were generally quiet and clean. Our room was very roomy and the air conditioner worked like a charm, which is invaluable in Rome! The bathroom was nice. Small shower, but that comes with the territory... more

We stayed in this Hotel (room 313), this week Jun-09 and feel that it was a nice place with some shortcomings. Cleanliness was OK, but not perfect. usually a sign that the staff are not given enough time rather than a lack of diligence. Dust was collecting under the bed when I checked just before leaving. The shower was rather... more

I stayed at the Amalia Hotel in July 2008 for the third time. I thought I posted a review then but it doesn't seem to have made it onto the review section, this also has happened with Naples review that I wrote in Oct, I must be doing something wrong. For my third visit, the Amalia did not disappoint and... more

We were delighted with this hotel. We booked 4 nights for £228 via hotelconnect.co.uk ( they had a promotion on for 4 nights for the price for 3) - which is excellent value for a good location in Rome. When we arrived there was some big maintenance works going on in the small reception area, but we were greeted by... more

This hotel is a bit out of the way. It's also a bit of a trip from the train station. (pretty much every hotel is a trip from the airport) it is also easy to miss but our taxi had no problem finding it. I think it cost 15 euro to get there from the train station. The metro line... more

I was in Rome for one week for work reasons and chose this hotel for no particular reason. The hotel shares the building with private apartments and offices. At first they put me in a ground floor room which had no natural light, stank of cigarettes, had bad air conditioning and mites in the bed. I got bitten the first... more
