The Colonna Palace was one of the stops on my worldwind 30th birthday vacation. The location was awesome once my husband and I figured out where exactly we were. ( The Colonna is walking distance from the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain and many clothing stores for those who love to shop) The rooms were nice, the staff was friendly... more

This is a hotel in Rome. It is very very centrally located. The bathroom in our room was recently redone and probably the most "americanized" bathroom I've had in a hotel in Europe. In the high season it is a bit pricey, but not outrageous. Location was well worth it and it is large enought to have a small hotel... more

Some of our employees checked into the hotel and realizing that they did not have the proper business cards, worked with the hotel staff to find a local printer and coordinate the efforts. Our cards were printed by the end of the day and the staff was more than courteous about our inconvenience by offering to pick up the cards... more

Bed: extremely hard with flat, hard pillows A/C: apparently Rome has an ordinance that prevents hotels from turning on the A/C except in the mid-summer months. With just one window there was no circulation and the room was stuffy and warm. They did provide a fan which helped. Noise: the piazza in front of the hotel is the location for... more

Colonna Palace Hotel ROME 11-15 Oct 07 Long time in posting review but hope it helps with choosing where to stay in Rome. We stayed 4 nights at this great hotel which couldn’t be more central in Rome. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a HUGE room on the 5th floor (room 504?). We had opening windows that overlooked... more

My husband and I just got back from 10 days in Rome, and we spent the majority of the time in the Colonna Palace Hotel. While not cheap, it offered the best bang for the buck as far as location and comfort went. Rome is exhausting, and I honestly looked forward to coming back to our little sanctuary every day.... more

We booked 2 nights, at the end of a holiday in Italy, at Colonna Palace through Hotelclub.com and stayed at end of March 08. Having been to Rome before we knew the area we wanted and also knew how well placed Colonna Palace was. The room was bigger than expected as a lot of rooms in Rome can be small.... more

We recently spent 1 night prior to a cruise of the Mediterranean. We had 2 rooms. When we arrived early, the gentleman at the desk suggested we wait for rooms facing the square and so, we left our bags and started exploring the city. The lobby was beautiful. It had a small bar that was great for coffees. The hotel... more

I had to work for the week while in Rome. My travel agent got the booking wrong and only booked me a single room. But the hotel staff were excellent - very helpful, friendly and accommodating in sorting out a double room for me and my husband. Look...this fabulous little gem is in an outstanding location within walking distance of... more

2nd visit at a different time of year Having spent several winter visits in Rome we decided on a last minute summer break for my birthday and decided to return to the Colonna Palace, mainly because of its location, which is central to everything. The breakfast on the roof terrace on a summer morning is magical, although the breakfast itself... more
