Stayed for 3 days in the Hotel Bolivar. This was our second time staying there. The first time we had Room 311 which has its own huge sun patio outside, the room is large but the bathroom is small. This time we stayed in 116 which was on the front of the hotel - in fact it is the only... more

We were traveling with 3 people so need more beds than most. They tried to give us room 311 that feels like it is an attic. They showed us room 312 and it didnt have a shower curtain and said they would give us towels to wipe up the water. We did finally get room 218 that was acceptable. The... more

This hotel is on a quiet street just off a main shopping area. located steps from many bus stations that will take you anywhere in Rome (the 40 or 64 will take you across town to the Vatican). You can walk to the Trevi Fountain or the Coliseum. The room was quiet and we slept very well. The included breakfast... more

We reserved a quad room in Hotel Bolivar for over $300.00. I payed for a room with two queen size beds but they said there was a leak in the roof and we got a tiny room with only 2 twin size beds. this hotel was HORRIBLE. stay away from it and its related hotels in Rome. more

Location, location, location. You can not dream a better location. You wake up and start discovering the amazing sites of Rome, AROUND THE CORNER. The people working there are hospitable, friendly. Also, QUIET! It' doesn't feel like you are 500 meters away from the crowd of the Trevi Fountain. Hotel is hidden in a nice courtyard. In front of it,... more

Just come back from Rome and stayed at this hotel. Booked through Laterooms.com at 154EUR per night. It was listed as 4* but frankly I have stayed in better 3* hotels in other countries. The rooms are a bit dated and the buffet breakfast (included) was basic. Having said all of that the location is superb. Very central to all... more

We made a reservation with the Hotel Bolivar, but upon arriving, the manager told us that our rooms were not available due to a sudden water problem (we were shown a ceiling in the entrance that had water damage, but it appeared old, and there was furniture beneath it!) We were offered a room at a nearby recently renovated hotel,... more

We were extremely pleased with our choice of the Bolivar Hotel in Rome, mainly because of its great location. We were able to walk to the Trevi Fountain in one direction, and to the Colosseum in the other direction. The room was comfortable and bigger than what we had expected. The hotel is located just off a main street but... more

It's difficult to find a moderately priced hotel in Rome but this place is it. The hotel sits at the end of a small, short alley. As we were in Rome during a time when A/C is not used the road and outside noise that can keep you awake is nil. The English speaking desk staff is competent, quick and... more

We just returned from 3 nights at the Hotel Bolivar. The location was fantastic, you can walk to most of the sights in Rome: the Colseium, Trevi Fountain and we even walked back from Easter Mass at St. Peter's Square. The staff were very helpful in answering questions, providing a clean room and serving a wonderful breakfast. We used hotel... more
