We have recently returned from a long weekend in Rome, staying at the Hotel Commodore. I agree with most of the posts on here. It's in a great location, just a short walk from the train station, and a 10-15 min walk into the ancient part of Rome, past lots of gelato bars and restaurants! We felt very safe and... more

I just got back from a long weekend in Rome. Hotel Commodore is in a great location. Abt 5 minutes walk from Termini. In a safe location. Didn't feel unsafe walking back in the last evenings. Alot of places to eat and shop near by on Via Nationale, etc. The room we got was large, and clean. Toilet very clean.... more

I've just returned from the Hotel Commodore in Rome where we spent the bank holiday weekend and the only way that this hotel got it's four stars is if it was reviewed in the seventies. We booked this hotel on recommendations from this site but I would warn anyone who is looking to stay there that it is most definitely... more

Having read the other reviews of this hotel we decided to go for it. Location 10min from Termini and good spot to start travelling from. Clean hotel, staff could do with smiling a liitle and could be more helpful. Room small (esp bathroom) but most importantly clean. Would I stay there again, yes if I couldn't afford some of the... more

The Hotel Commodore is in an excellent location, a short walk from the Termini. When we checked in on the Sunday evening, the Receptionist was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for him. He supplied us with maps, guides and lots of useful tips when we told him it was our first time in Rome. Our room was clean, roomy... more

I booked a double room for the first two nights, and was very happy with the room and the assistance from the front desk. I was so impressed I booked a room for an extra night direct through the hotel. The room was clean and cool, and the bed was very firm. The breakfast buffet is excellent and provides quite... more

Hotel Commodore is a typical hotel that can be found anywhere in the world. Average service with average amenities. Nothing in the decor would allude to the fact that you are in Rome. The only problem that we encountered is that they were supposed to have made reservations for us to visit the Borghese Gallery and the Vatican Museum but... more

We booked a double room with an extra bed, but when we came to the hotel all double rooms were booked, but we were instead offered a junior suite for the same price. The staff was so friendly and cheerful we almost wanted to adopt them. they made our stay in Rome. Jonas, Ylva & Dea more

Very good size for a single room in Rome. The value of the mini bar was exceptional at 2 euros an item. The breakfast was better than any others I've had in Rome. All of the staff were very friendly and made life very easy. Even in Early February, there are plenty of Restaurants within easy walking distance and getting... more

My Wife and i stayed in The Commodore for two nights during our honeymoon at the end of April. The location was excellent, about a 5 minute walk from the Terminus just off Via Cavour. The room was clean and well maintained. The view was off the back of another building, but that is quite common in Rome. After a... more
