I stayed in this hotel for three nights. Great location minute away from Santa Maria Maggiore church, 5 min. from Termini station, and 10 from Trevi fountain, Colosseum... Hotel is clean and in quiet area, good for families. Our room had a large terace. Great breakfast. Would come back... more

We stayed in Hotel Viminale for 5 nights in the second half of September. Before we had a big investigation through web, Viminale was our final choice, just because we were tired of reading reviews, calculating costs...etc. By chance, Viminale was what we had expected from a hotel. The best of all is its location. It is just so near... more

Was a little bit dubious when we looked on Google earth at the location of the hotel, but was pleasently surprised on arrival, we walked from the Termini Station where the airport shuttle dropped us off and found it very easily, and was only about 10 minutes walk. There was plenty of space for the 2 of us in the... more

The hotel is near Termini, right next to Sta Maria Maggiore, 10 minutes walk from Colliseum, 15 mins from Piazza Spagna... so in general very well located for a tourist. Regarding our room, it was very small but recently renewed, and with a very nice toilet. The air conditioned was superb, and everything was clean. The room of our friends... more

Excellent hotel with nice atmosphere. They seem to do renovations and it created a funny effect: in our room (5th floor) the bathroom was new and excellent, which made the room look a bit shabby (it was nice and clean but not new). Otherwise good - the staff was friendly and nice. more

We called an afternoon of the week before our arrival to this charming hotel in order to ask some info. From this point on the staff were very helpful with directions, and also by arranging the pick up at the airport, setting up travel arrangements for two tours, and booking a table at a nearby restaurant which was excellent (in... more

My general comments about this hotel are that it is an old hotel that needs to be refurbished urgently. The bathrooms are moldy and the carpets look disgusting. They also need to do something about their housekeeping. Our experience of the Viminale consisted of the following: We arrived late in the afternoon from Florence, and after some time waiting, during... more

We originally booked to stay at the Hotel Edera but when we arrived at 9.30pm they told us they had double booked and moved us to the Viminale. It turned out the Viminale was actually in a better location (more restaurants etc nearby). It was about 10 mins to Termini and the Colosseum. The room was a good size as... more

The viminale was recommend to me by girlfriend and she was right. Within walking distance of the Colosseum, Termini and metro the hotel is as well inexpensivce as something special. The staff are very kind and helpful: I forgot my bathing suit there and they sent it to Germany! Our triple bedroom was nice and clean and the bathroom recently... more
