The staff warmly greets you at their entrance. The terrace is delightful for breakfast and dinner. Rooms are different and unless you know the layout of your room (check it out before accepting it) you can be disappointed. Room 223 and above ( I assume) are quite spacious & one level, Room 224 is very small. Many of the rooms... more

why have a hotel with no windows in some rooms?? we had to go down to the front door to check the weather!! the bell boys and doormen are lovely and friendly.....but some of the people working on the front desk are just rude because they want to be......rooms without view are nice inside....comfortable beds.....clean bathrooms..... its a hotel that... more

Our flight arrived late and we weren't able to check in until midnight. After a very long flight we were very happy to arrive to La Griffe. It is a very modern, hip hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, we were told our room had "water damage" and we were sent to Hotel Nizza for the night. I had read... more

I recently stayed at the La Griffe, and my main takeaway from the hotel was that it was ok for the reasonable price that we paid (EUR 155/night) but I wouldn't stay there again. Here are the pluses and minuses from our stay: Pluses: -Great location, although still a 15 min walk from the Spanish steps, but it is easy... more

This hotel is in a central place, though you may walk past it as it is on a road with shops. On walking into this hotel it was truly beautful. A noce door man opened the door and the reception area was sparking. The glass counter on the reception looked lovely. The room was very small, a bit cramped if... more

We ended up at the La griffe after being bumped from the Hotel Milton. Arriving at the MIlton in the early evening after a long flight from Miami they informed us that there computer went down and that our reservation, that I had placed months before, had been lost and that all rooms were occupied. The milton was put us... more

My husband and I stayed at La Griffe for our honeymoon. It was our first time in Rome and I was very nervous about booking a hotel. I read many many reviews here on Trip Advisor and decided on La Griffe. Our room was 314 I believe. Unlike some of the other reviewers, our room actually had a very nice... more

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. The customer service is terrible, reception cannot be anymore unhelpful! They were unable to tell us how to get to the airport by metro/bus, the only option they offered us was a 50 EURO taxi ride! (it normally costs 30 EUROS). We had a mini-bar bill for items we hadnt... more

La Griffe is a modern, 'design'-type hotel in a great location. Many of Rome's major sights are within walking distance, and the metro to the Vatican is a stone's throw away. The rooms are clean and comfortable, bathrooms are stylish with multi-functioned power showers. Some of the rooms don't have an external window, but have a window/door opening onto an... more

The desk staff ruined our Italy trip Nov. 21-27, 2007. 1) They did NOT give us 13 mesages from our family, and the one message they gave us an hour after it came in, too late to do anything. We missed Thanksgiving dinner with our family in Rome and a reception at the U.S. ambassador's residence. When we checked in,... more
