Lovely roof-top garden helps somewhat compensate for the small rooms which barely accommodates luggage. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nicely done and offered something for everyone. more

The BEST part of this hotel is that is is newly renovated (new, clean bathrooms, floors and furniture) and it is directly across from the Hotel de Rossie, which is the nicest hotel in Rome... So, when I stay there, I walk across the street for the Rossie amenities (including use of their concierge for my reservations etc)..... The questionable... more

have stayed here twice before and really loved it . Disappointed therefore to find that the bathroom and room were not as clean as they could be! The roof terrace was delightful apart from the three american children who played ball around one as we tried to have a quiet drink after an exhausting day - no comment on this... more

The location was terrific and the people couldn't have been nicer. My room was quite nice, and the breakfast was good. Would stay here again, but I had stayed two nights before at the Valadier around the corner, which couldn't accommodate me the whole time. The Valadier is a little more stylish, and less expensive, which I can't figure. I'd... more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It is above average hotel with considerably expensive price tag. The room was booked by our agent. The rooms are very small, but it was fine for us since we spent most of the day outside anyway, it's just I wish it was less expensive. The location is very good, there is... more

The Piranesi was a good hotel that just didn't work for me because of street noise and poor AC/ventilation. My wife and I had a reservation for 9 nights. In e-mails I had stressed that I was finicky about AC/ventilation, even in October. We found the hotel itself beautiful, the room high quality, the breakfast room/room service very good and... more

I spent a great deal of time searching for a hotel in rome, including on the trip advisor web site, and selected the piranesi based mainly on the reviews here. The hotel clearly photographs well, but it does not live up to the reviews or to claims on its web site. It is a fairly basic tourist class hotel, which... more

The Hotel Piranesi is definitely a nice boutique hotel. We had a suite and a standard room with a balcony. If you stay, I would book the standard vs. the suite. The only advantage the suite gave us was a extra sitting room which to me was useless. The rooms and bathrooms were small but very nicely done. The balcony... more

We stayed at the Piranesi for 2 days this June. Prior to arriving, and during our stay, we found the hotel staff to be very accomodating and helpful. The room and bath was small, but clean and efficient, with a nice decor. We had a great little balcony/terrace that we really enjoyed. The hotel itself is in an excellent location,... more

Visited in sept 2004: A delightful hotel and one we will return to time and time again. the staff were wonderful, the rooms ever so clean and well maintained. we were upgraded to a delux room with balcony overlooking the Piazza del Popolo, the breakfast buffet was v pleasant and although the rooms were small (probably not so by Rome... more
