We found Eurostars Domus Aurea to be quite good value for money. The rooms were clean and modern as were the facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good being in one of the cleaner areas of Rome and only a few hundred meters from the main train station. more

Couple from Ayrshire Scotland -- My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days, we had heard that the rooms and bathrooms were small but our room was a decent size ( 5th Floor ) and the bathroom was great. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels left. The breakfast was buffet style and catered for every... more

I loved Eurostars Domus Aurea. Been there with my wife in June 2008. The hotel is very well located, three blocks away from Termini Station, the central station for bus, subway and train of Rome. Employees are very nice, beginning from reception. I needed orientation about the safe box and the employee came around very quick and efficiently. There are... more

I just came from my first trip to Italy and I stayed in Rome as my take-off point to the other cities. I booked Domus Aurea because of the proximity to the train station and was not disappointed - very convenient, prob just 3 - 4 blocks away. The area towards the hotel was well-lighted and busy, not scary at... more

My wife and I stayed here for a week in September, 2007. The food was excellent and the hotel is well situated to travel easily around Rome. The staff were always hardworking, polite and courteous. The room was always kept clean and tidy. The only complaint I have is with the size of the room which was small - particularly... more

This hotel is situated very near to the rail and bus station so is an excellent choice for easy access to Rome. The area is a little run down. There were a couple of drunks sleeping on the pavements but I never felt unsafe. The hotel rooms are small and the shower would be unsuitable for any larger customers. On... more

1. The bathroom was the size of a postage stamp. I wouldn't recommend this hotel just based on that alone. If a customer has ANY special needs that require room to move in the bathroom, you should let the customer know that space does not exist in these bathrooms!!! 2. The hotel front desk staff were rude. Examples: - My... more

We had booked this hotel online after reviewing mainly the location. This on its own was inaccurate, all distances suggested were in reality twice what was suggested. Our travels had been to over 15 different cities and included many many wonderful hotels, however, this one was an extreme disappointment. The staff were perhaps the most miserable and unhelpful we had... more

This hotel was AWESOME!!!!!!! When my friend and I began looking for hotels for our European Vacation (a high school graduation gift which we did with our mothers) we had some fears about booking a hotel in Rome before our cruise. We had heard horror stories about no Air Conditioning and bad room conditions so we searched for a month... more

March 21-24 2007 - Having read the previous reviews, I was worried about staying at the Domus Aurea. It was a really nice little hotel. Ok, so the rooms aren't huge but we had 2 single beds which made a 6ft span, a chest of drawers, double wardrobe, desk and chair. We had room to move! The bathroom was very... more
