Felt like being in a museum. Rooms very large and "grand", fits Rome very well. Could walk to all the main attractions, shopping was right next to us. Staff was very kind and helpfull, typical Italian. They got us a guide and sent us to very good restaurants. It's not the place to be at if you're into modern places... more

Hotel was in good location, close to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The hotel had a nice sitting and breakfast room, but hotel staff did not welcome Americans nor try to service our needs. The shower was hand held and should be upgraded especially since its expensive to stay there. more

Staying at the Grand Hotel Plaza was a unique experience. A unique hotel in a wonderful position exactly at the centre of the shopping district and we could visit all main sites by foot. We chose this Hotel based on the Hotels website - the photos are better than the reality. Foyer - ripped wall paper, tired furniture, bored staff. The Plaza gets some bad reviews, but for us, it was amazing. The staff had never staged a wedding on their own before but when we contacted them they were excited at the opportunity. Came to Rome with a bunch of colleagues from all over the world. The foyer is stunning and the room for breakfast would take your breath away. Rooms are small, but neat.
