I have traveled quite a bit and this hotel (and I use the term loosely) rates as one of the worst - even compared to Soviet hotels back in the days of the USSR. From the second that my 15 yo daughter and I walked into the lobby we knew it was bad. We could not even fit our 2... more

A true slice of Rome. Tiny spartan rooms overlooking the Pantheon and Piazza allow for an experience you will never forget. At night if you open your windows you will be entertained by the opera singers, accordians and other musician playing for the restaurants. Leave you American hotel standards at home and experience this hotel. Stayed six nights and would... more

Great location, clean comfortable room. Accomodating staff. Not a lot of amenities, but I didn't go to Rome to spend time in a hotel Could not ask for a more perfect location. Walked to everything, did not need a taxi, bus or auto. Friends loved it also. more

Stayed in this hotel at the weekend, the location is fantastic, open your window and you are looking out on the Pantheon. Most of the sights are within easy walking distance. The downside is that it is noisy at night. We booked a triple room, this meant a pull out bed was put in, the bed was comfortable unlike most... more

This "hotel" only avoids one star because of its superb location. Overlooking the Pantheon (if you don't have the dark interior rooms) on the Piazza della Rotunda, the location is fantastic. Unfortunately, that is this place's only redeeming feature, as it has creepy, tiny rooms, surly staff and absolutely no frills or pleasant attributes whatsoever. I stayed in room 201... more

The hotel is in an unbelieveable location - overlooking the Pantheon. Rooms are neatly decorated. Bathroom is a little small but overall woth the money. Breakfast is served at the restaurant across the road - very average (coffee, small roll & a pastry) more

We were thrillled when we opened the shutters and saw the Pantheon almost close enough to touch. The room was spacious enough, clean, and the location of the hotel great for everything in Rome (walking distance). There was a stocked refrigerator, and breakfast was at a restaurant in the same piazza - good caffe, and a sweet roll and regular... more

I have given this rating for the Abruzzi in respect of its location. It must be one of the best in Rome. Central to all the obvious attactions, especially the Pantheon, which is the view from the bedrooms. No real complaints or concerns ... the hotel is no frills and in need of some upkeep. There is no bar/lounge or... more

I stayed at the Abruzzi for 4 nights and paid EUR 170.00 per night. The single-room, though very small, was clean and nicely furnished with a large and comfortable bed. The shower was very small too, I could hardly raise my leg or bend my body to wash my feet. I was expecting to get a room with a view... more

I have never posted a review of a hotel before, but I felt I must in order to warn other travellers. The first night we stayed there we dropped off our luggage and left our passport and newly exchanged currency in the night stand and headed out for dinner in the plaza. We have been warned to protect our money... more
