This is a place to stay if you just want somewhere to sleep, shower and leave your belongings. If you plan to spend any time in the hotel, then dont stay here. It was clean, basic and close to all you'll want to see, including the Forums and colosseum. Its a walk to the vatican city too. In fact, its... more

We have stayed several times since 2006 at this basic 2 star hotel situated in an area where you can walk to all sites in central historical Rome. The rooms are clean and simple, the beds can be some hard, but it's ok. Their breakfast is good, with fresh rolls and croisants, as well as lots of realy good coffee.... more

We stayed in the Arenula because of it's location which is superb, OK the hotel is a little basic but is very clean and great value, air con was brilliant, staff were very friendly, breakfast was great, I would definitely recommend this place to others, when we arrived I had forgotten to print out the voucher, no problem said the... more

My mom and I got a really good deal at this hotel on the internet, so I don't have too many complaints. The stairways are very white and pretty - which you notice because there isn't an elevator (so try to get on a lower floor if you don't want to or can't trek up too many stairs). We had... more

This was a nice hotel with a central location. Most activites can be reached by walking. It isn't all that close to a train stop so I would suggest a cab ride. No elevator. They let us leave our bag before check in and after check out which was nice. Hotel was clean and fresh looking. Breakfast had pastry but... more

Great location, good price. All we needed was a bed and bathroom, so this worked. The bed was actually two twins pushed together, but they were fine. We didn't have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. more

we recently spent 2 nights at the Hotel Arenula. The only positive thing I can say is that the location of the hotel was close enough to most of the sights we wanted to visit. We were disappointed in the hotel staff. They were quite rude. We were even more disappointed in our room. The furnishings were quite sparse and... more

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Arenula. Our first day there we were able to walk over to Campo di Fiori in about 8 minutes. Pizza Navonna was another 10 minutes away..it was also really close to Trastevere as well. The rooms were typically small, 2 star really but very clean, had CNN and BBC on the tube and... more
