A horrible ending to a fantasy trip!! We checked in for 3 days on Tues July 7 and thought "what a wonderful hotel... We were WRONG!! We went out for ice cream and returned 35 minutes later to find out stuff had been gone through and all our electronics, computer, kindle, jewelery, cash taken!! The front desk person , Angelo... more

This hotel is in a quiet area just across the Tiber about a 10 minute walk to the Piazza del Popolo and 20 munutes to the Spanish steps. We loved escaping the madness of central Rome and getting back to this little gen of a hotel. Our room was small but beautifully furnished and the bathroom was bright and surprisingly... more

We stayed here for 7 nights during April. The Farnese is a very comfortable 4* hotel and is located in a pleasant, tree-lined, residential area. It is close to Via Cola di Rienzo, a lovely main shopping street which leads to the Vatican & St. Peter's. The Pantheon, Spanish Steps are also within 20-30 minutes walking distance. It is however... more

We spent four nights at the hotel, staying in room number 31. It was bigger than I had expected given previous Trip Advisor posts. The sleeping area consisted of a vast and comfortable double bed (with good bed linen) and a day bed for a third occupant. There is also a wall mounted flat screen TV with BBC News 24... more

Louis and Alessandra were beyond great, they make the stay wonderful. The room was clean, well apppointed, and very much in the theme of the rest of the hotel. The Hotel Farnese was fantastic. more

We spent three nights at Hotel Farnese, which is situated in a lovely, peaceful and safe residential area (close to Le Panto metro). Most of the main sights can be reached within 15/20 minutes walking, including the Spanish Steps, Castel Sant Angelo, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, the Vatican City and St. Peters; the only time we used the metro was to... more

During a previous trip to Rome, we had noticed a hotel with the name Farnese in it and when we tried to google it, we came up with the Hotel Farnese . Even though we didn't think it was the hotel we had seen, we decided to go with the Hotel Farnese. It was a wonderful choice. The hotel is... more

We ended our 2+ weeks in Italy with 2 nights at this charming hotel. We were greeted promptly and warmly. We had room 44. It was not huge but was larger than I expected. We even had a small terrace with a table and 2 chairs. I loved the windows with shutters. We were able to keep the windows open... more

A very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff located near the Metro and 15 to 20 minute walk to most Rome attractions. A clean room with large bathroom; robes and large towels provided. A very good breakfast in a sunny rooftop room was a good way to start the day. In-room safe and mini-frig are a plus. There's also... more
